  • I am currently looking for insurance and am going to schedule an appointment once I have coverage. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

  • I haven't had medical insurance for some time now and have not been properly treating my infection. I feel like there is no one to turn to for help and am afraid of not being able to afford treatment. I have a swollen right tonsil and bump on the back of my neck.

  • I am a 26 year old male with HPV genital warts and am afraid that it has spread to my throat. I noted in the video that head and neck cancer is prevalent around the age of 50-55. Can I really have cancer?

  • around the age of 50-55. Can I really have cancer?

  • So i have a bump on the back of my neck at the start of my hairline is it a cyst?

  • @BloodyMare123 Have you had this checked out by a doctor yet? Like we've said in some of the other comments here, it's tough to say for sure what it is. A doctor can do an exam and get your medical history and give you the best information. Hope this helps! Good luck.

  • Hi, i have a lump on the right side of my neck, it is painless, not growing, and hard. I have been too 2 doctors and they say it is nothing, just the regular anatomy but what bothers me is that it is on the right side only. I am worried please reply ASAP Thanks

  • @Bigboy6340 Hello - it's hard to know what that might be without having a doctor take a look at it first. Have you been to see a doctor about it? I'm not sure where you're located, but if you're near Omaha, we'd be happy to see you here at the medical center. You can always call us at 1-800-922-0000. Hope this helps.

  • @NebraskaMedCenter Hey- thanks for answering and yes i have been to 2 doctors and both of them sed it was part of the normal anatomy, is it possible to have a bump on one side of the neck and not the other, also my dad thinks it might be a bone or something????

  • @Bigboy6340 Dr. Lydiatt says it's possible a bulge like that could be the C2 vertebra or your carotid artery; but couldn't say for sure without an exam in person. It might be worth checking with your doctor again if you are still concerned.

  • @NebraskaMedCenter Oh ok, can you tell me where the c2 vertebra is located because my lump is on the right side of my neck/throat like right under the jaw?? by the way thx so much for answering me :)

  • @Bigboy6340 Happy to help, but we just want to emphasize how important it is to see a doctor again in person if you're concerned about this lump. It's very difficult for a physician to give you accurate or detailed information without an in-person exam and review of your medical history. We hope this turns out to be a "normal" lump and nothing serious. Good luck!

  • Hi Mickey - Dr. Lydiatt says most cysts in young people are benign but run a risk of getting infected. It's important to have a doctor take a look at it. Treatment is surgery. Your hospital may have a social work department which may be able to help with the insurance issue. If you're interested in hearing more from us here at The Nebraska Medical Center you can always call 1-800-922-0000. Thanks for the post and good luck!

  • I found a cyst on my neck and I have no insurance. I'm 17 and I live with my mom. My family has a high rate of cancer. What do I do?...I found it like 6 days ago.
