  • great channel very informative

  • @2:47 chemistry centred class!? Sir not everyone necessarily harbors your philosophy of injecting arts into a pure science class. For a short-termed attentive student the insertion of arts can be a way of renewing his attention but a hard-core attentive guy sitting next to him would consider it as a form of distraction while his brain cells are working at a full speed.

Your philosophy certainly lacks in generality.

  • @tensorbundle ofcourse not. Making chemistry more approachable would not be a distraction for even the brightest of student. It is better to understand something from different aspects and if the attentive student is only depending on one then it is wrong.

  • @tensorbundle Well, that's a failed attempt at snobbery. Seeing something from a new perspective is always important. Often, the people who are obsessively focused on technical detail may miss the bigger picture or ways to make that detail intelligible to others. Attention to detail is a virtue, but when it excludes other considerations it becomes a vice.

  • @jimbopumbapigsticks

I laughed a lot reading the similar version of prof.'s statement that you intelligently (!) uttered like a parrot.

Couldn't you come up with something your own?

  • @tensorbundle Sorry, you're obviously convinced you've got a better handle on advanced chemistry and teaching methods than a professor at MIT. Please keep believing that - it's priceless.

  • @jimbopumbapigsticks

At least I think with my own reason, not like a parrot blind follower of anyone.

  • @tensorbundle Just a pity it's not a very good one.

  • @jimbopumbapigsticks

Save the pity for yourself. You are gonna need 'em a lot in future for being a blind follower.
