He was on the verge of playing the "race card"? Wow, ignorant people should refrain from speaking unless they know someone. Tony Mendoza would never play the "race card" so, thus, if something is not known about someone else. Please save energy and don't type anything. It is plain and simple--the chair has no respect to the people she cares nothing about.
She was rude. He was on the verge of playing the race card. Both are unfit for public office. There is no place for either personality disorder yet it seems to be a requisite for state elected officials.
Grumpy Legislators? Pain-in-the-BUTT legislators. Huge and utterly useless egos. Let's hear it for going back to part-time legislators and get rid of these ego-driven career politicians.
Mendoza only reacted in response to Corbett's complete disregard to the political process. She was blatantly rude & condescending. She may be chair, but her complete & utter disrespect for her colleagues shows a lack of leadership. What the video didn't show was the 5 minutes prior - the banter between her and Senator Dean Florez, and her and the two Republicans. She snapped at everyone! Senator Ellen Corbett should be issuing an apology for her disrespect and lack of professionalism.

To be rude to the chair is the MOST STUPID thing a legislator can do ... corruption at work here. And it's not the chair of this comm.

Mendoza is such a big baby. This stuff happens in committee ALL the time. Go back to your office and cry.

Florez looks hot for Corbett.

Chair Corbett was the model of restraint.
I've worked at the Legislature for 35 years, and she was entirely within the prerogative of a committee chair to decide the order of bills.
She didn't lose her temper.
Failure to have a vote automatically makes it a 2-yr bill - Flores should know that.

WTF, she should be fired.

I concur. Very disappointing.
This is how laws are made (or not made)... reminds of Will Rogers' comment...
