What a nice video. We get raw milk from a local farm that has jersey cows. I like it much better than holstein because of the higher fat content - tastes much better! Congratulations on your cow and I hope it's still going well for you. I'm envious! :)
I have milked 'Daisy' from the back, usually when her calf was on her and that seemed like the best position to be in at the time. I guess it depends on the cow and their temperament, maybe I was just lucky as Daisy has never actually kicked me - she has threatened, but nothing too serious!!!!!
Hi there, We're doing this as a lifestyle choice! We want our children to know where milk really comes from and veggies and meat too etc. We've only been on our property a year, after we moved out from the 'burbs'. We love living here with our gorgeous animals, we are very lucky indeed. Daisy is a lovely cow, in fact all our cows are lovely! Thank you for your nice comment.

Are you starting out as a small dairy farm that will grow from here?
or are you just going to stay with the cattle you got and be a family
farm without a business of farming.
This cow is very lucky to be in your farm
