  • playnig the bongos seems to be good for your physique.......

  • ZUJA ZUJA ZUJA~!!

  • woah im wordless this is freaking amazing

  • I wonder if they use gates on the drum mikes, because there seems to be a lot of crosstalk and background noise. Not as awesome as a live performance...

  • 4 people couldn't handle this amount of awesome

  • шаринган!

  • If I had one, I wouldn't ever need to work out because I would never stop playing it.

  • at 2:25 I needed a change of pants

  • RUN FOR THE HILLS!

  • Everything asian people do is basically a work out(almost) There are probably no Gyms in Asia

  • I like the fact that the dislike bar is non-existent

  • I hope the neighbors like this.

  • I have seen this Live..... And i am fucking digusted at the simple minds who think this is all about fucking WAR....if it where...at least the Samurai had a code of honour....with regards the oponents....fuck sake.....lets all just become Americanized then...already there...

  • Absolute brilliance.

Art like this is what the word "awesome" was made for -- literally fills u w/ awe.

  • Men in tights never looked so manly.

  • Does anyone know how many beats are there and what is the form in this video? I'm using this video for my term paper and I have to write aural analysis for it. But It's tough to figure out the beats and the form for a beginner like me. ><

  • @teaob7 Seems to me you didn't choose the easiest of songs for analysis...

  • Why is the audio so low ?

  • Kodo kills it every time.

    Awesome

  • just Awesome.

  • NI-HYAKU COMBO!

  • ぐっさんの化身いるよね?w

  • man where can i get a set of drums like that they huge lol

  • @parrarulz1

in japan, but the price for one of those drums is probarbly in the 5 digits, comparable to a small new car. and your neighbors, if you have any, wont like it, these drums are easily audible for a mile.

  • Yauuu!

  • listen to this while fighting this will give you +10 to damage

  • @gameszu First thing i thought was lol SSoHPKC reference?

  • @gameszu 0_O POWER LEVEL over 9000!!!!

  • @gameszu You hit IT :-D

  • Can't stress enough how ridiculously AWSOME these guys are. Wish I spoke japanese an had the money to do this

  • @jillybeardo You don't need more money then to travel there, and go for try outs. Just there's not much chance they'll accept other than japanese huy, though. :)

  • @jillybeardo

it doesnt require money, in order to make it into their A-Team that does the concerts it takes years of practise. you stay at their headquarters until you are the best one they have practising at their headquarters when they need to fill a vacant position in their A-Team. and then its more than 200 concerts per year.

  • @tenderspace yes this is amazing...fantastic...!!!

  • makes me wana play Patapon

  • KODO ROCKS, just saw them in Boston yesterday, you've gotta go experience it live, so powerful...... ps don't ever mess with a Taiko drummer, LOL!!! ; )

  • Красиво и замечательно, слов нет. понравилось

Beautiful and wonderful, no words. liked it.

  • Venez en France. Je pense que beaucoup de gens aime votre musique.

  • @MrBufarel tayeul

  • is this available on DVD somewhere?

  • That is passion! Drumming with your whole body and soul---wow!!

  • is this KODO available on PC? =)

  • holy crap they are ripped

  • @Divinelighte You try swinging around two 4 pound drum sticks with that intensity for a concert. You'd be ripped too lol.

  • screw Wii Fit, they should make a Wii Kodo game. Unplayable in rooms with ceiling fans.

  • @mrchuckmorris you mean a game like taiko no tatsujin 1, 2, and 3? My arm hurts so badly after playing. Watch: v=rjPh5SggnhQ

  • @mrchuckmorris taiko no tatsujin

    ^^

  • to feel their spirit, you should go to Sado.

  • Thanks for this video! It doesn't compare to being there in person--where you can feel the vibrations through your chest--but it brings back great memories!

  • what do the yell?

  • This is what i call MASSIVE VIBRATIONS.

  • i love o-daiko

  • I have this on DVD. The energy these drummers display is unbelievable. Quite a workout.

  • holy shit

  • One person accidentally rated it down.

  • Going to see KODO in 7 days time.... aint seen em in 3 years... O Daiko is awesome live.

  • The drumming in this is astounding thank you for sharing

  • you need three things:

    1) a feeling for the rythm

    2) endurance

    3) coordination and accuracy... ok four things.

  • how much would i kill to join one of these groups.

  • This is totally awesome! Drumming the martial arts way.

  • THAT is what i call DRUMMING!!!

  • Eu amo Taikô, adoraria poder rever esses artistas..., eles são simplesmente o MÁXIMO...... não sei como expressar a emoção de estar ao vivo nessas apresentações... parabéns

  • A M A Z I NG

  • THE Awsome O-Daiko.... Seen this live The best concert on the earth..easily...and the ladies go home Ahem ..A little turned on lol

  • One of the best Taiko video so far. Thank you for share!

  • Is this a war song per say???....Great video

  • what is the name of that symbol in the drums?

  • @HappyBuddha100 this symbol in the drums is mitsudomoe三つ巴(=mitsu-tomoe)

    mitsu(san 三)=three

    tomoe=move in same turn

    number:tomoe(巴)

  • @kenitai007 thanks for explaining

  • @kenitai007 PS. this synbol design=whirlpool

  • The only thing that sucks about this video (and all Kodo videos) is that you cannot FEEL the music. Both times I saw then was at the old Medina Temple in Chicago and even in the second tier balcony you could feel so much of their music coursing through your body. During this song I could feel the music in my sternum. Seeing them live is an experience NOT to be missed.

  • My Top Three List of concerts I have seen:

    1. Kodo (1996)

    2. Kodo (1998)

    3. Midnight Oil

    So incredible they ranked twice!

  • I saw them in luxembourg two or three years ago, it's fantastic

  • what means the symbol on the drums?...I don't see it the first time, but couldn't find anything reliable about it...

  • only two of them switch, the third keeps playing

  • at around 2.40.. they all move left.

  • @iainor yes, it's only two of them at 3:40 and 4:36. But at 2:38, all three of them switch.

  • Awesome song!

  • i like this very much !!! its full of power !

i have great respect for Japanese Kodo !

  • powerfull, brilliant and amazing!

  • あんび¥あんび¥すごいすぎやな\\

  • incredible.

sad that they have not release any new albums recently :(

  • Thank you for sharing this video. I caught myself holding my breath most of the time. Awesome and powerful!

  • They performed here earlier this year and I missed it ._. I was sooo depressed afterwards. I really hope I get to see them next time they are here ^_^ <3

  • This piece is performed with three hiradodaiko, which use similar heads to the ōdaiko on shallow shells (the ōdaiko are as deep as their head diameters). I concur with yamaha893 on strength and skill requirements for both drum types.

  • taiko is so much better in person. but this is very good. takes real strength to ht that big drum and get good sound from it.

  • My Buddies Sister saw them in the early nineties at the College of DuPage in Illinois, and she said that the windows were rattling within a 100 meter radius of their performance.... I'm watching their tour schedule now, sir, I want to hear and feel this group.

  • verdaderamente impresionante!!.

  • 玉三郎が演出した曲の中で、もっとも私のお気に入りの曲です。聞いて楽しい、見て楽しい。できれば生の舞台でにていただきたい曲です。音の振動を肌で感じられますよ。

  • i think that this should be the only music people could listen 2 and maybe pop n rock

  • no pop no rock

i need just Kodo and traditional Ancient Chinese Music! and of course the Okinawan group: Nenes

  • AMAZING, Thank you for sharing!
