The video & sound aren't up to much but I love the song and the band and DCT play it beautifully. From the sadly underated album 'New City' (which to me is brilliant).
This song has always moved me powerfully ever since I heard it on B,S & T's "New City " album (1975), the LP which featured the return of DCT as lead vocalist. B,S & T's version is an instant classic.
"A monument to modern man". Great song by Danny Meehan and Bobby Scott and cracking arrangement by BS&T. Scott also co-wrote He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother. Although the sound quality's not great here you can still hear some beautiful bass lines by Ron McClure. The album's in the post as I type!
I remember this show. Janis Ian was the other guest. I've always loved B,S,&T especially with David, Steve Katz, and Bobby Colomby. By this album Katz was gone. The band tours now but without David, it's just not the same.

@MACHAWK123 Agreed. This song, Applause were both all too underrated. What a talent DCT. Saw BST once live and couldn't get them out of my head.

Only such fine artists who were "witnesses" to the Vietnam War could have created such a masterpiece. Thanks to all.
