nice truck but i wouldnt waste my money on it, chrysler dosnt own up to their factory warranty, i bought a 03 dodge ram crew cab with 12k miles on it and the warranty was for 50k miles, my tie rods on my front suspension broke and that was at 15k miles, and they wouldnt cover it, it cost me $1,160 to get it fixed, when it should've been covered under warranty...

Im impressed. 10 thumbs up on this new Dodge. Im a mopar Dodge fan and im glad dodge keeps steppin up their game. We've never been at the very top when it comes to truck sales... but i wouldnt be suprised if this takes everyone out. It looks like its ready to take on anything and is bold lookin. 390 hp nice, and what does ford have? 310...yes its true and ford only gets 1 more mpg while dodge brings 80 more horses. I have the current Ram 1500 and its shape is very different from the F-150, this new one has the more boxy outlook of an F-150 indeed. It resembles it from afar... again, to me. You don't think so? the front end of a ram and a f150 looks nothing alike, the rams hood comes downward in front and on the sides, it sort of comes togeter to the grill, the f150 is like a box yes, it has no curves, jsut straight, they are very different
Look at the avatar on the video "2009 Dodge Ram" on the featured side of this page, the one posted by "worldcarfans" the blue one... tell me this does not look like an F-150 from this angle. I think it clearly does. Anyways, I've always liked Dodge Rams, this new one I'm not so sure about so I'll keep my current one (2007) until they get back to a better look (one that matches my taste better).
One thing's for sure though, I'm not buying any Toyotas or Nissans.

I always liked the more curvaceous shape of Dodge Rams as opposed to the very squarish Fords and Chevys, this is why this more squarish Dodge resembles the F-150 more to me, because that's an attribute I pay close attention to. I always elevate the suspension by 16 inches and put 30" mud tires, which looks great on Dodges, not so much on its American competitors.
I'm thinking of trading in my current truck for the new Camaro SS anyways. American muscle.
i love those big us trucks, ram, gmc, u name it: but they are poorly wielded together, interior is cheap plastic panels, simply put: just being stuck together as fast as possible. japanese cars are by way more refined...BUT I'D GO WITH A US TRUCK...lol

Its a ram so its obviously going to be great but the styling seems to be getting tamer every year. the 94-01 range looked awesome from every angle but now they seem to be getting over the top, too much chrome, and too much of a fashion statement rather than a mean ass truck
I always owned Toyotas until 05.Bought a QC 4X4 Hemi Ram. 101,000 severe miles later it has not had a rattle, squeak, problem ,glitch. Put brake pads at 100K , plugs and oil better truck than Toyotas. I made the mistake of driving the 09, holy cow, nice! Best handeling truck ever! Super quiet too. Hemi's tow very good BTW.

i watched a report on the frame tundra vs f150. the f150 was WAAAYYYY more stiff and rigid. yes, toyotas are much better quality. but they don't know how to make useful pickups for rough purposes. american trucks use darn cheap material inside but they are fucking damn ROCK SOLID.
Lets see...Dodges are more powerful, can tow more (i put 3,000 pounds in my 1500 Hemi all day at work), they look better, and they last longer than fords and chevys....DODGE IS KING!!!
Although the hemi is a good motor, it doesn't hit it's peak torque till after 4000 rpms. It belongs in a sports car like the charger. Of all the gas motors in all these half tons, the 5.4 in the f-150 has the highest low end torque of any of them. Anyone who has had to tow down the freeway at almost redline can appreciate that. The only good thing dodge has is the cummins. Which also has the most low end torque of any diesel.

i took my car in to get the tranny rebuilt and sitting inside the shop was a 2008 dodge ram getting a new tranny put in already at 8k miles. and this is kinda off topic here but what i think is really funny is how dodge thinks their all hot shit because they can pull chevy and ford pickup's away in a tow-off but when it goes against a Toyota Tundra the Toyota pulls the dodge away like its nothing. im not a toyota fan im mainly GM and Ford but thats sad when dodge get's pulled away by a Toyota

I used to sell the ram 1500. Its a good truck, I believed in the '02-04 product I sold. But I've seen those flowmasters installed, and seen them on trades. I'm not talking smack about enjoying the sound. But I can tell you that taking a relatively straight, single pipe & diverting it into a tee will NOT increase exhaust flow. In fact, the opposite will occur - the system will incur back pressure as the ninety degree angles do not breath: the engine forces the exhaust out at the expense of power

not arguing: the 4.7 does get worse mileage, but it doesnt have MDS like the hemi...the 4.7 just isnt a very good engine in general, if you get a ram...definitely get a hemi. and the fords actually weigh almost 1000 more than the dodges depending on which models you are comparing (i am talking about 4 doors). the 5.4 isnt a bad engine, its just getting outdated and its not quite big enough for the ever increasing size of pick-ups today

I have the current Ram 1500 and its shape is very different from the F-150, this new one has the more boxy outlook of an F-150 indeed. It resembles it from afar... again, to me. You don't think so? the front end of a ram and a f150 looks nothing alike, the rams hood comes downward in front and on the sides, it sort of comes togeter to the grill, the f150 is like a box yes, it has no curves, jsut straight, they are very different

Look at the avatar on the video "2009 Dodge Ram" on the featured side of this page, the one posted by "worldcarfans" the blue one... tell me this does not look like an F-150 from this angle. I think it clearly does. Anyways, I've always liked Dodge Rams, this new one I'm not so sure about so I'll keep my current one (2007) until they get back to a better look (one that matches my taste better).
One thing's for sure though, I'm not buying any Toyotas or Nissans.

I always liked the more curvaceous shape of Dodge Rams as opposed to the very squarish Fords and Chevys, this is why this more squarish Dodge resembles the F-150 more to me, because that's an attribute I pay close attention to. I always elevate the suspension by 16 inches and put 30" mud tires, which looks great on Dodges, not so much on its American competitors.
I'm thinking of trading in my current truck for the new Camaro SS anyways. American muscle.

Still, US-cars are really put together with less care. But you know what? I'd go with US-cars anyway. I have driven several of them. And nothing beats an american car in terms of ride, long term quality, engineering, style etc.. That's my opinion (and experience). cheers, buddy

Its a ram so its obviously going to be great but the styling seems to be getting tamer every year. the 94-01 range looked awesome from every angle but now they seem to be getting over the top, too much chrome, and too much of a fashion statement rather than a mean ass truck

I always owned Toyotas until 05.Bought a QC 4X4 Hemi Ram. 101,000 severe miles later it has not had a rattle, squeak, problem ,glitch. Put brake pads at 100K , plugs and oil better truck than Toyotas. I made the mistake of driving the 09, holy cow, nice! Best handeling truck ever! Super quiet too. Hemi's tow very good BTW.

notice u didnt toyota on there mplstorm.. the new dodge looks good but u got to remember one thing..its still a dodge...after about 20k miles the dash lites up like a disco ball plagued with electrical problems..if u want what u pay for buy a toyota trust me..even the new dodge cant hange with the 08 tundra even lost by a full second in quarter mile..im as redneck as they come but id never waste my hard earned money on a domestic junker. but hey if u like mechanic work then dodge may be for u..

i watched a report on the frame tundra vs f150. the f150 was WAAAYYYY more stiff and rigid. yes, toyotas are much better quality. but they don't know how to make useful pickups for rough purposes. american trucks use darn cheap material inside but they are fucking damn ROCK SOLID.

Although the hemi is a good motor, it doesn't hit it's peak torque till after 4000 rpms. It belongs in a sports car like the charger. Of all the gas motors in all these half tons, the 5.4 in the f-150 has the highest low end torque of any of them. Anyone who has had to tow down the freeway at almost redline can appreciate that. The only good thing dodge has is the cummins. Which also has the most low end torque of any diesel.

i took my car in to get the tranny rebuilt and sitting inside the shop was a 2008 dodge ram getting a new tranny put in already at 8k miles. and this is kinda off topic here but what i think is really funny is how dodge thinks their all hot shit because they can pull chevy and ford pickup's away in a tow-off but when it goes against a Toyota Tundra the Toyota pulls the dodge away like its nothing. im not a toyota fan im mainly GM and Ford but thats sad when dodge get's pulled away by a Toyota

(magnum v8 360 LA), but i must admit that though the engine on the 2009 dodge hemis are stronger the looks did not "wow" me at all.
sure there are newer features/accessories, but still(sigh).
it really looked like the newer Toyota Tundras(built in Texas).
also, is there still a six seater on them?

I used to sell the ram 1500. Its a good truck, I believed in the '02-04 product I sold. But I've seen those flowmasters installed, and seen them on trades. I'm not talking smack about enjoying the sound. But I can tell you that taking a relatively straight, single pipe & diverting it into a tee will NOT increase exhaust flow. In fact, the opposite will occur - the system will incur back pressure as the ninety degree angles do not breath: the engine forces the exhaust out at the expense of power

PS personally i dont really look for the horsepower, cuz Ford has a much smaller truck, and can still pull 2000 pounds more than the 5.7 Hemi.

not arguing: the 4.7 does get worse mileage, but it doesnt have MDS like the hemi...the 4.7 just isnt a very good engine in general, if you get a ram...definitely get a hemi. and the fords actually weigh almost 1000 more than the dodges depending on which models you are comparing (i am talking about 4 doors). the 5.4 isnt a bad engine, its just getting outdated and its not quite big enough for the ever increasing size of pick-ups today

1. It doesn't look slightly Asian to me.
2. Dodge did upgrade the Hemi for the 2009.
3. The new Hemi puts out 404 foot pounds of torque.
4. The 2009 f-150 has a smaller engine and has a lower power rating.
I'm assuming you do actually mean the f-150, because you didn't say. And I don't know what Chevy truck you mean, because they have five lines of trucks.
