That's NOT A WALK. They're shooting the video for "Sometimes you can't make it on your own". The crowd is part of the shoot. Bono sings in sync with the song playback all the time. You can even see the dolly cam at 3:03.

OK, if it's not shooting for the video, why is there a dolly cam in front of him in the same point of view as in the video, he's wearing the exact same clothes as in the video and takes no notice of the crowd around him like acting.

This shooting obviously didn't make it into the final cut but it's still a shooting for the vid.
