@Drumguy1988 Next time, try a little less hate on non-instrumental music. I don't prefer a band or an artist because of how he makes his music, when I like it, it really doesn't matter. Variety is the great sanctum of music, and if you believe it or not, even music created electronically requires a great deal of experience and talent. There is no "real" music. Tolerance and understanding :)

Saw Deep Purple when they played rock, this is quite poor really, this line up should call themselves Pale Pink.

It's the fact that Blackmore is missing. When you watch a video with him in it, you feel scared for your life. Steve Morse is too much of a niceguy to really do the imposing rock show, even though he's a splendid player.

Yeah, but soundwise theres a huge difference aswell. The shows arent as loud, the instruments sound waaaay too polished, all the members are alot older, thus they dont play as passionate or tight anymore, arent as inspired. I'm not bashing them at all either, I have alot of respect for the fact theyre still playing after all these years, but that doesnt take away the fact that this is a horrible performance

@myownservant Yeah, this is an astoundingly bad performance, especially from Steve Morse, which is surprising considering what a egotistical hotshot perfectionist he considers himself to be. that duel between he and John Lord was particularly limp. which is a shame since I'm sure those russians had been waiting for twenty five years to see them.

@myownservant I'm the biggest DP fan going, and I say the latter day performances don't stand up to their heyday. They're not using tube amps anymore, Gillan's voice is long burnt out, Paice's drumming is more reserved, ect. The difference is more obvious when they do the mkI and MKII stuff, but the Perpendicular and Abandon material is up to snuff.
