  • there is nothing like a mustang loughing at every thing around it!!!!! that stang sound possessed....

  • Wow this thing sounds bad ass! Lovin the sound of the 302 with this cam

  • Are you using TFS specific pistons or just larger "inline" valve relief pistons?

I'm interested in TFS heads but I have been told that my cam is borderline with larger inline valve reliefs. Thanks

  • @hickorynut8

On the Green Coupe with the TFS set up we custom Fly Cut the Inline valve releifs to fit the TFS offset valves. If you're borderline stick with an Edelbrock, AFR, Canfield, or similar head.

  • @THRstang

Thanks. btw your stang sounds awesome!

  • @THRstang Thanks a lot. I may go with AFR's then.

  • what degree did you degree the cam? 5* advance? i ran mine straight up in my motor. check it out please. @ The08Russ

  • @The08Russ

Straight up, it's a hi comp 306 limited by the heads more than anything. Hence we didn't want to overrun the RPM. We did redo the Trick Flow's with new springs/locks/retainers to handle the 282 cam. We just didn't port or open them up. Mainly a fun street car to scare the bo-tie's with!

  • Does the firing order change when you put a big cam? My 89 mustang has a .533 lift and it's not running right..you can check it out @ lightweightracing...Any help would be appreciated Thnx...

  • hey man where did you get those wheels from with that lugs pattern? I can't them anywhere.

  • What lift does that cam have?

  • Its an OTS Comp Cam well suited for Aftermarket Pistons with bigger valve reliefs. It will not clear stock pistons without cutting the pistons. Lift is .565/.574 with a 1.6 rocker. Duration is 282/290 Advertised and Lobe Center is 112 Deg. Its great for 2600-6600 RPM with alot of mods to the 5.0's. You need at least a 3.73 gear or better. We recommend a 4.10 to 4.56 with a 28 inch rear tire on power adder cars or a 26 inch tire on All Motor cars. Hope this helps.

  • You guys suck!!!! (in a good way lol) i have wanted a notchback mustang forever and you guys make some of the sickest i have ever seen that copper one is amazing you guy do some amazing thing with those cars keep up the great work

  • how much vaccum you getting at idle?

  • Hey does any one know what color this mustang is painted and what kind of wheels he has on it. Thanx

  • @soccerboy15100

Calypso Green, Factory Color, but completely repainted to make it look new again! Wheels are the Greg Weld which is now available through Summit as there own series. You can get them in 15x8's or 15 x 10's depending on what rear suspension you're running.

  • Hoping to get home next month or so, I will try and stop by the shop.

  • jordizzle, maybe the guy that bought it from me is selling.

That could have been one of my old post as well as I DID have over 12500 in it...easy

  • @sam90lx Waz Up Sam?? U still kikin it in AZ? Ever get back to EP?

Keep your eyes peeled as we'll have some new vids of a couple real nasty LX's that will be hitting the streets soon. One's a 357 inch solid roller turbo car and the other, let's just say 434 inches of Dart Madness with a couple 250 stages to tickle it!

  • The Copper Coupe is Nuts! Brian was finishing that one up while my coupe was in his shop.

    Beautiful car!

  • Hey koloheboy11, did not see your comment way back. How is everything going?

    Hows the Calypso Coupe?

Any pics or vids you can share with everyone, I sure miss that thing!

  • That thing sounds nasty, whats the part number on that cam??

  • you guys take an 03 cobra in on a trade?? I want the copper color fox I saw in your other videos.

  • my God it sounds insane. I don't care how many turbos some kids sti or evo has that stang would scare anyone.

I know quite a bit about cars but what gives it that violent pop in the exhaust is it all about compression ratio's, fuels and muffler or what? I would like to run the highest compression ratio I can on 93 octane. but still pass smog with all of my emission equipment. But It wouldnt really be a daily driver with high compression would it?

  • @docstruthers in simple terms its the lobe separation and duration of the cam

  • im a chevy guy,but man you have one sweet sounding stang!..nice job,.....light that mther up!!!!!!

  • That was my ride, car is now in Hawaii, it has a cage now and some other goodies!

    Is that you Brian/THR?

LT's in Flow 1 chamber race mufflers and wheels are Summit Stars, Weld copy.

  • @sam90lx

Hey Sam! Still kik'n! How's AZ? Send me a PM or Note with your new numbers. I'll stop in next trip to AZ.

    Brian

  • @sam90lx some guy is posing as u in another vid, says hes selling it for 8500 but has over 12500 invested, lol

  • What color blue is the hatch on the left??

  • where are you located at?? im in san antonio

  • i didnt see a cage mr.race car lol ur stang is still awsome i just subscribed :D

  • I agree, as almost all our stangs sport some sort of cage. However, we have a few customers that are limited in budget or simply do not want a cage even against our recommendations.

  • @THRstang yea im saving for a 89 lx

    fox bodies kick assss

  • Light that f'n thing up...

  • Nice Calypso Green Notch, I had one just like it for my first car.

  • What rims are these? They look pretty good.Thanks.

  • how much would it take to take stock moto to this...would u recommened for dail driver??? with the cam sounds aggressive

  • wanna trade that for a 94 mustang gt? hahahaha

  • one other thing, would i be safe to use a regualr 5.0 block or what would your opinion be on going about making a stroker like that.

  • @93TealLx, We utilize the std blocks for most of the simple 306, 331, and 347 builds. There is no need to sleeve the blocks unless you have a damaged cylinder that won't clean up at .030 - .060 over. If you're shooting for more than 500 HP on the stock block, I'd recommend a Dart block or the new Ford Boss block upgrade.

The sound comes from a well matched cam, head, intake combo and Long Tube Headers/Off Road H or X/ and a good Cat back or dumps. They rumble pretty hard that way!

  • what sleeves do yall tend to use for yalls bores? Also I have noticed that most of the foxbodys that yall get ahold of sound very similar, my question to you is what do yall usually do for that setup....thanks!

  • Baught this coupe last year from arabkona. It now resides in Hilo, Hawaii!

Tires are 26X11.5 ET Streets and fenders aren't rolled.

  • what size tires are you runing and did you have to roll the fenders

  • I love this mustang, they made full cast wooden pistons along with polyester spark plugs and a plastic cam shaft (allowed for weight reduction) that made the tires do miles and hour alot so when you rev up those donkeys then you know how to bartle doo all over the crap mo stank

  • WHat rims are those? They are pretty nice.

  • I'm also wondering what kind of rims those are.

  • What is the part number for the cam? Thanks

  • Does this cam require any flycuts to the pistons? Would this cam work ok with a carb set up What I got is a 302 punched 0.040 trw forged flat top pistons I am buying things when the money is there! I will be shopping for heads, cam I have the intake it is a Ford Racing alum I have never seen one like it before comparable to a torquer edelbrock but it has 4 round holes instead of an open or dual plane carb flange I can always add a spacer if this cam likes big intakes? my truck is all manual too

  • yes i had a question on your cam if you could contact my email or cell for a few minutes thanks let me know which you prefer

  • whose makin popcorn?!?

  • calypso....jesus....and people say they are ford fans

  • lol im not biased to any make im a car fan in general ford chevy dodge plymouth w.e as long as its american and has 8 or more cylinders im good

  • I know, right? I have a Calypso fox

  • yo i like that color whats that paint called

  • I think thats calypso green. i may be wrong

  • rrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • CHEVY ASS KICKER!!!!!

  • What are the specs on the cylinder heads? I was going to build either a 306 or 308 using the TFS heads I have on my stock block. They're the track heat 170cc, 2.02 valve heads. I was wondering if I could get into the 11.50's with this setup and the right cam without porting the heads?

  • fawkin mean!!

  • what part of El paso are you guys located

  • if i use this cam in my 347 will it have the same sound?

  • matters what else you mix with it...but if you use the same one it wil still be similar....

  • They are Summit stars, 4 lug.

Cam is Comp 282 Hyd. Roller

    For Sale 8500.00

  • i would like to own one like this

  • Hey, whats the specs on those Pro-stars? Thanks,

  • I have long tubes and with H and dumps so it might not sound as good as this one in the vid but it should sound ok. Thanx for the info I appreciate it.

  • Im going to install a comp cam nx282hr in my 306. I compared the two of these cams and they seem to have the same specs. I dont know anything about the cam because I bought it off another guy who ran it in his 308 never got to to hear it. I was just wondering if it could sound similar to this one in the video.

  • IT's a very similar grind with less overlap for nitrous or boosted applications if you're quoting the part number correctly. It will sound almost the same as this XE282 HR as long as you have similar exhaust.

  • @THRstang the exhaust sounds to be SLP loudmouth... it has that hallow crispy cam lope sound with a good cam..

  • Dang you guys can build some bad ass motors if I ever when the lottery I know who im calling :)

  • its a xe282hr comp cam. hydraulic roller

  • Is that a solid roller cam or is it a hydrollic cam?

  • Another Great sounding Idle

  • i wish they would post videos of the Yellow hatchback they built

  • ok what size pipe is on it?

i want my car to sound like that..

i have bbk long tube headers 3inch h pipe

and 50 series flowmasters and it's quiet for my taste..check out my new video and see for yourself

  • thats call cam

  • its hard to believe its a little 306!!! sounds really good but the compression is a little to high for me i like to cruise on the streets and still be able to go to the gas pump racing gas is extermly to high lol!!!

  • gotta love the mean cam and the calypso green. i've always loved the notchbacks.

  • For the complete build specs please call us at (915)449-6224 Brian.

If you click the link next to "About this Video" that says "More Info" you'll get most of the specs in the listing.

It's a Comp 282 HR roller with TFS Heads, Systemax Intake, 24lb inj, 255lph pump, C&L MAF, Long Tubes, X pipe, and 1 chamber Flows.

  • That thing sounds amazing. How streetable is that cam? I want to build a 306 for my 95 and would love a cam like that but I drive the car regularly. Also what Injector MAF combo are you using? Any info would be great if you dont mind.

  • im running the same cam in my car, with a somewhat similar setup, ported gt40s, xe282hr, super victor efi, 306, long tubes 3" exhaust... as for streetability, it's not bad i drive mine on the street but i also have an SDS standalone. without it, the cam would be a little rough for the street.

  • a malibu...isn't that what my grandma drives? sorry, we charge for lessons, take a number as i'm busy rolling on the floor laughin!

  • @THRstang Classic, "what my grandma drives", I love it. Nice stang guys keep up the awsome work.

  • you dont want a malibu on ya ass slow ass ford

  • You guys build some of the sickest cars around! What cam are those little 306 running, or at least this one!!
