I was impressed with his play when he was with the jets and thought he'd fit in well alongside our Sproule. He didn't. He never showed ANY of that skill we saw on video. Johnson gave him his chance to prove himself, but he failed miserably. He caught a snif of prem footy when we played you in the play offs and obviously did enough to impress Warnock.

But if you ask the vast majority of proper Bristol City fans we were glad to see him go. He let us down. The wage he was on didn't justify the poor performance he was mincing out. Gary Johnson had given up on Carle - and so had the fans. Luckily he was still under contract and we made a huge profit on him when we off loaded him to palace. You saved us a fortune on bad wages.
