The snakes move to where you are, just move away. Later when you get yellow and red bullets you'll just have to maneuver differently.

You have to keep an eye out for several things at once, but the bullets are pretty slow. It's not that hard of a spellcard.

Got any tips on beating Mokou's non-spells? I can handle her first three with various degree of consistency. 4th, 5th, and 6th (and on, I imagine) just plain own me.

At one point they own me too. As for the early ones, Focus, good reflexes, foresight and a bit of luck. After Phoenix's Tail (201) you'll get hit, so just bomb or deathbomb. She's not invulnerable to bombs during the normal attacks. That and shooting the crap out of her will hopefully get you through the attack fast enough to not cause major damage...

The Phantom Gauge? It changes depending on whenever you shoot as a Human or a Youkai. You need that to be at about 4/5 of the way to the max (usually +/- 80%) for enemies to drop Time Orbs.

Depends on if you kill enemies Focused or Unfocused. The more you kill in one state the more it'll move to the desired position. If you start shooting in the other state, it'll move the other way.

Not more powerful, you just get Time Orbs. More points and less time spent during the story.

IN is my favorite because:

- It has Mokou, Kaguya and Risen

- It has terrific Death Bombing

- It's pretty easy compared to the other games in the series :P

Points, and you need to get a certain number of them before the end of a stage in Story mode for the clock to advance by 30 instead of 60 minutes after you finish it. If the time reaches morning then it's Game Over. Time is also aded each time you use a Continue.

Google "Touhou Wiki". You can find that sort of information there, along with translation patches.

I can do possessed easily, cant do ikahasa's curse,80% of the time flaw of the forgiving shrine, 50% pheonixs tail, never hourai doll, and i forget what else, 100% xu fu

I don't find Phoenix's Tail hard. The bullet hitboxes are small. And I DIED on Hourai Doll. Hell, I almost died TWICE by running into the south stationary orbs at the end...

yeah, I'm being critical of myself, but I'm still really happy I managed to beat that! Oh the satisfaction...

And I'm still "into" Touhou, but I didn't play in a long while. This was the peek of my skill. I can't beat IN on Hard, or 10/11 on Normal even! This Extra stage was a small obsession. Mokou rules :P

Good luck on your quest to beat the stage. After practicing and memorizing you'll get it if you're determined. Oh, and if you feel tired, leave it alone for 15 minutes, or till tomorrow. Playing it when you're tired makes it worse.

I did this once and got past EX Keine and up past Mokou's Xu Fu before I died. I was impressed considering I couldn't even beat the game on Normal... but gosh this stage is just murder on your eyes. So many danmaku @_@

You more or less dodged 204(Hourai Doll) exactly right, for the record. ^_^; Just got clipped. The idea is that the little shots on the outside wall aim at you when they form, and then delay a bit, so they aim at where you were a second ago. So just move around slightly in the middle.

And that's pretty much what I meant by "bomb through it" with 202. ^_^ It hurts, but it gets you past it. Good job. ^_^

Spell cards continued (Check the file description 1st):

Spell Card 203: OK, now YOU'RE possessed by a phoenix! Isn't it cool?! ...no, because this phoenix wants to kill you!! Mokou is just standing there in the background mocking you :/ You can't win this by damaging her, you just have to love though it. This attack has 4 stages:

- 1st stage: Light explosions that fire bullets. Easy if you move to the side faster then I did -_-

- 2nd stage: Blue bullets. I hate this, and I really, really sucked here. They fire at your direction, and since they're being set up the the phoenix, you can semi control their placement. You can keep dodging by moving slightly up or down or by moving in a circle. Go watch other videos, I sucked :/

- 3rd stage: Explosions. Easy I have to say.

- 4th stage: Stage 1 and 3 combined. Also quite easy, but move to the side sooner then I did!!

Spell Card 204: Avoiding the "snakes" it pretty simple. She'll later give you more crap to dodge in the form of yellow bullets, and even later a string of red bullets. You have to watch out for things coming from all sides, but you've faced harder spellcards by this time.
