you should try etude house dr. mascara fixer! works amazingly for the "asian" lashes. mine are just like yours & it works so amazingly!! plus it's a lot more affordable than the diorshow one.
Hi Holly, thanks for doing this video. I LOVE the Dior lash primer and that's how I use the product too as I too have the same problem as yours in regards with your lashes. I'm Chinese with stubborn short and straight lashes...so, using the primer and allowing it to dry and then curl with a heated eyelash curler is how I can get curls!!! I so appreciate your work. @hollyannaeree I really like the Lancôme primer. I think it has to do with the brush. It's not a rubber kind of brush. I mentioned it to Lisasz09 and she got a sample of it somehow and showed it in her most recent video.

The only mascaras that i can use it the max factor false lash effect, which is like covergirl lash blast and the majolica majorca one :) I have long lashes but they are typical asian lashes...falls staright down. those are the only mascaras that hold my curls!

holly! try the fairydrops scandal queen mascara! i've wanted it for a long time and finally got it for my birthday and it is amazing! it holds my hurl all day, lengthens, defines, and volumizes!

i am an asian and the bad gal mascara works really well on me too! i think it's b/c of its much dryer formula. But i apply and curl and apply and curl for several times though i don't think it's good for my lashes :(
If you do another mascara demo, maybe you can zoom out after the finished result so we can see your face as a whole and how the mascara looks from "afar" :)

I have never used Benefit Badgal mascara and always wondered about it. I have used mascara primers before and I do feel that they make a big difference but I am blessed with pretty decent lashes so I can't be bothered with a primer but I can see how someone with sparse lashes would really enjoy this primer. Products work differently for people based on their lashes as you have said many times and I agree that is a huge factor. Very interesting video! xoxo Deb
When I used the Dior primer, I applied my mascara directly after without letting the primer dry. I will have to try letting it dry as you did. Thanks for this video.
I think it's really interesting that you don't feel like the Bad Gal mascara clumps a lot cuz I've always heard the opposite. If you were to add more layers on top of that single layer you showed in the video, would it clump then? If not, then is volume and/or length good?
@liiteratii idk i only use one coat i dont go in for more than that so i couldnt say. ANY mascara you use that you apply more than one coat increases your chances of clumping.
I didn't think to let the Dior primer dry before applying my mascara. I quickly put mascara on top before it dried and my lashes were so wet and weighed down! I have decent natural curl that cooperates with almost all mascaras (even without use of a lash curler), so I was disappointed in the primer. This gives me hope — thanks Holly!

(the demo was filmed over a week ago, the intro was filmed day before yesterday) you dont see me all the time, just twice a week. i only wear lashes for videos and events. i dont wear them everyday. i dont have a problem with my lashes without them so ....im not sure where you are getting that from.

Getting to the point, have you tried Benefits "they're Real" mascara? I am only recommending and asking, because I like the bad gal mascara but I like the they're real one a little more. The Dior counter person told me that the correct way to use it is to put it on before bed. There is a serum in it to lashes grow longer and fuller. In the morning you put on mascara like you always do. So I think it is supposed to be completely dry.
@808manju ohh idk i do wait for mine to be fully dry but ppl are telling me the proper way is to use it wet. (which is true for SOME primers but i think this one works the best the way i use it) i wont wear it at night while im sleeping though.
the benefit badgal mascara works really well on my sparse, asian lashes, too haha. have you tried lancome's hypnose drama mascara with their cil instant booster? if not, you should give them a try! they work together so well, and they make my lashes look AMAZING
I feel the exact same way with water proof products. I rather not deal with it, and I like that all my eye makeup comes off with warm water (: The cleanser I use foams up so it get rides of any under eye residue as well!
we have the exact type of eye lashes it's so frustrating to try different mascaras coz nothing works.. but I really enjoy the rimmel glam eyes mascara
the dior primer looks good, maybe i may need to give that a shot! =D have you tried the giorgio armani eyes to kill mascara? i have sparse stick straight *asian* lashes too and when i use both the shiseido nourishing mascara base + the giorgio armani...love.

I think it's really interesting that you don't feel like the Bad Gal mascara clumps a lot cuz I've always heard the opposite. If you were to add more layers on top of that single layer you showed in the video, would it clump then? If not, then is volume and/or length good?

@liiteratii idk i only use one coat i dont go in for more than that so i couldnt say. ANY mascara you use that you apply more than one coat increases your chances of clumping.

I didn't think to let the Dior primer dry before applying my mascara. I quickly put mascara on top before it dried and my lashes were so wet and weighed down! I have decent natural curl that cooperates with almost all mascaras (even without use of a lash curler), so I was disappointed in the primer. This gives me hope — thanks Holly!

@liiteratii yeah try it out! this is one of the few lash primers ive tried that is not waterproof and dries fully enough to curl again afterwards

@ShKg5494 yes, ive used it in several tutorials before. i like gel liner a lot! and its much easier than liquid BUT i just dont like to have to wash a brush all the time so ive been using liquid/pen liners

You say that your eyelashes are sparse but I would beg to differ... Compared to your older videos they seem longer and fuller. Did you do something different?

Long lashes are beautiful but if you have short lashes it doesn t mean you always have to wear false lashes..,and don t like yours.. you are beautiful as you are, and if you don t see it, no one else will :) , ps: is your bf ok?

@talicutza i didnt say i did....i have lashes on in the intro cause i filmed another video prior to this one. (the demo was filmed over a week ago, the intro was filmed day before yesterday) you dont see me all the time, just twice a week. i only wear lashes for videos and events. i dont wear them everyday. i dont have a problem with my lashes without them so ....im not sure where you are getting that from.

Try Lattice , they help a LOT, and it's safe, also put Moroccan oil on your lashes before mascara, or at night, very healthy for lashes

I know you get a lot of suggestions but... As an Asian myself, although I do have long eyelashes, they grow straight and don't hold a curl.... Getting to the point, have you tried Benefits "they're Real" mascara? I am only recommending and asking, because I like the bad gal mascara but I like the they're real one a little more. I once tried it without a lash curler and saw a change instantly.

The Dior counter person told me that the correct way to use it is to put it on before bed. There is a serum in it to lashes grow longer and fuller. In the morning you put on mascara like you always do. So I think it is supposed to be completely dry.

@808manju ohh idk i do wait for mine to be fully dry but ppl are telling me the proper way is to use it wet. (which is true for SOME primers but i think this one works the best the way i use it) i wont wear it at night while im sleeping though.

the benefit badgal mascara works really well on my sparse, asian lashes, too haha. have you tried lancome's hypnose drama mascara with their cil instant booster? if not, you should give them a try! they work together so well, and they make my lashes look AMAZING

Omgoshhh holly you have to try the original DiorShow mascara!! It's much much better than badgal and lasts way longer without drying up too fast :)

I feel the exact same way with water proof products. I rather not deal with it, and I like that all my eye makeup comes off with warm water (: The cleanser I use foams up so it get rides of any under eye residue as well!
