Any claim to be protecting rights of free of speech was purely incidental to the over-arching purpose of gratuitous self-promotion. Ezra saw a readily available means to create controversy and draw attention to himself. Ezra has never met a mirror he did not like. And his distorted sense of reality allows him to actually like what he sees, while the rest of us are retching violently. Ezra is at once a quack, fraud and charlatan. The most appropriate comparison is a white Al Sharpton.
Why would anyone think like this. Ezra did not ask to be before this commish. It is not about Mr Levant it is about repression of free speech. Someone got offended, and complained about the cartoons. So yeah in my opinion he has a right to be ticked off. I would be too. At least he stood up for himself and used his free speach. Guess what? According to German law "holocaust-denegation" has to be punished with a maximum of FIVE years of prison. WEll, in my expereince its, the usual way of attack of the new Fascists is to first target the gays, then go after the jews. Sohowardy is just following a long cherished tradition of attacking jews. Gay people usually are easily submitted by these new bigots, and have a harder time fighting back, but the Jewish community is well versed the ways they are attacked, and able to defend and then go on the offensive. First the gays then the jews, thats what my Jewish grandmother used to tell me.

@fanagot - Um, he absolutely is defending the freedom of speech. He has every right to say whatever he pleases. You have the right to vehemently disagree with him, and tell him he's wrong, and everyone has the right to decide for themselves who's right.
He may censor whatever he chooses. There is a difference between government limitations on speech, and private limitations. Forcing him to publish anything is also a limit on his speech. You may print what you wish. That's liberty.

@fanagot - There is a vast difference between deleting comments on a private website, and using the power of government to do bring charges against someone for excercising free speech. A person has the right to publish whatever they wish, that is a part of their free speech. You have the right to start your own site and publish what you wish, and he can't stop you.
He may have deleted your post, but he didn't come to your house with a gun to demand an apology. That's the difference.

@fanagot - The difference is not proportion, it's the fact that it's HIS website and HIS speech. Telling him that he must publish whatever you want him to on your site is a limitation of his rights, not an infringment on yours.
He cannot limit your speech in any way. He can choose not to publish it, but he can't stop you from saying or printing it.
When he arrests you, and starts legal proceeding agaisnt you, then you might have a point. But he hasn't done this, has he?

You're right, it's taboo to deny genocide, especially when there's unsurmountable evidence for it. It's taboo to deny that Bosnian Muslims were ethnically cleansed, or even that Armenians were ethnically cleansed, as well as that Native Americans were ethnically cleansed.
Iran, and its supporters, don't share this view however, and believes genocide can be the subject of cartoons to invoke laughter, and doesn't see the difference between religious icons in cartoons, and genocide in cartoons.

Nowhere in these videos does Ezra recommend war on Iran & Iraq. I hope the war there frees the women from horrible oppression. It's illegal to "shit on street". People don't do that in civilized countries. If you're in Canada, you must have a hard time living amongst the sane people here. Since it's "so stinky here", you could go to Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan or any Muslim country. Those countries are full of lunatics; you might be happier there.

911 had nothing to do with Ezra. The videos are great; they're inspiring Canadians to defend their rights. Ezra printed cartoons as part of a report about why Muslims were behaving like maniacs in Europe. He couldn't tell the story without the cartoons. Hitler caused the holocaust and radical Muslims caused 911; these are provable facts. Watch the news; the 911 murderers will be sentenced soon and they're not Zionists or Neocons, they are MUSLIMS.

It's about the loss of freedom in civilized societies due to the actions of uncivilized people who don't know what true freedom is or for selfish reasons don't want it. Any claim to be protecting rights of free of speech was purely incidental to the over-arching purpose of gratuitous self-promotion. Ezra saw a readily available means to create controversy and draw attention to himself. Ezra has never met a mirror he did not like. And his distorted sense of reality allows him to actually like what he sees, while the rest of us are retching violently. Ezra is at once a quack, fraud and charlatan. The most appropriate comparison is a white Al Sharpton.

Why would anyone think like this. Ezra did not ask to be before this commish. It is not about Mr Levant it is about repression of free speech. The only ones retching violently are those who think this about the man or his religion. The United Nations and the AHRC are practicing reverse discrimination by allowing anyone to use the UNHRD for this purpose.

When Ezra printed the cartoons he was exercising his democratic right to Freedom of the Press. Now he's in the ridiculous position of having to fight for that right on behalf of Canadians, a right we thought we already had. We cannot allow newcomers to take away our freedoms; people died for them. We wouldn't want to live in the kind of society we would have without them. If Muslims don't want freedom, there are other places they can go. But we will never give up our freedom. Never.
