I've, what you called, "mastered" expert, and I have a real acoustic guitar, now I play GH and RB and I'm pretty darn good, now I look at my acoustic, and I don't know where to hold the thing, never mind try and play it. It's just, a GH or RB controller is much easier to play, and so I think that's why so many people decide to play it, because it's easier...

@ShibbyDaBest I found just hitting them individually really fast makes it easier for me. i tried just holding the red one and running up but then i realized that i was thinking too much about holding the red one and lost the timing. when i see that come up i see it as a zig zag and i just follow it in my head. like for the ones that zig zag all through the 4 or 5 buttons at a time i just follow them 1 fret at a time, makes it easier to map in my head where it's on the frets. left and right...

i noticed something like this in the game , but idk what was going on , when i was like pressing two buttons by mistake i though that i was going to miss but no it counts good, now this clearme the theory im going to try it to learn the timing thanks, thers any other cancel tech or something? im new in GH but not in competitive so i learn quicly i have one week and i can play hard and some expert songs, if you put a video performing this would be good.

@legendarybod Yea that shit happened to me too. I can't even hit the intro to "TTFAF" the right way because my fingers get stuck to the damn fret keys. You know how if you dont take your hand off the fret quickly you miss it? Well yea that's basically what's happening to me :(

@blutrainer Thats why you have to tap the note.. Because the green notes on the left won't register if you hold a blue key down to long.. Blue works with green held down because green is before blue. But green doesnt work with blue held down, so you must release blue in time before that green comes by. tap it!!

just hold green down and u can tap yellow.. it works with anything, it could be blue and orange.. if it goes blue,orange,blue,orange - just hold blue and tap orange (wait for blue to pass) and hit orange again without letting go of the blue

Think on this: If the colorful buttons were not on a guitar shaped peripheral, but rather on an ambiguous rectangle of cheap plastic, would people be as into this game? In my opinion probably not, they would think it was lame. So by that logic; the deciding factor in whether this game has emotional resonance with a participant is whether or not they are holding something guitar shaped. if you look at the notes in guitar hero that come up.. youll notice some of them have a black ring around the top and some are clear where the other notes have the black ring. if a note has a black ring around the top it means u have to strum that note. any note that is clear (no black ring) that comes after the note-strummed you dont have to strum it. so you can strum like a blue note, then there may be 30 more clear notes, if u dont miss u can hit those 30 more notes without even strumming it
