The reason mcCain chose Palin is just to stir things up. He was losing out and he needs a good backup to get back to stand. That backup was Palin. People like you are all fooled with the "oh there's a woman candidate. How nice of McCain. I'm gonna vote for him"
Now who really knows the story of Palin? We've been hearing negative stuffs about her, and there's more to come.

His entire criticism and thus campaign against Obama was built on the belief that Obama is little more than a Paris Hilton/ Britney Spears type of celebrity, and thus has gained exposure not for his politics, but due to the public's perception of him as this "rockstar".
Now that he has Palin on his ticket, he has no room for such ostensible rhetoric because the shoe is on the other foot.

Adam, it doesn't surprise me that McCain's blaming this on Dems but the fact is Phil Gramm slyly pushed the deregulation bill 12/99, McCain signed/promoted deregulation his entire career (now he wants to act like FDR?), his buddies have rec'd $50M payoffs (Paulson included), while we have inheirted their $700B debts from bad business deals. I just paid off my neighbor's mortgage! It just boggles the mind. If McCain gets in office Gramm will be his economic advisor. Enough to scare every American

McCain is in a lose lose election as the demos will still control both houses and will not work with a McBush. You will see a 4 year stalemate like you see now. Pelosi and Reid are the real POWER BROKERS and they can't get anything done without a demo president. for any change a new team will have to give it a shot. If you don't like their results, you can throw them out. But don't waste your vote on a figurehead as he is just another lame duck who will have zero power in this congress.
