The Velineon is actually the best setup out there for 1/10th trucks, in my opinion waterproof, can run 3s lipos. And is hella fast. My co worker has had all kinds of problems with his mamba sidewinder and mamba max, my other friend burned up a novak brushless motor(2s lipo). My boss and I have have the vxl-3s and velineon motor for a while and no problems at all.

how did you get the pinion to stay on the mamba? the shaft is kinda short and mine keeps flying off. i tried using loctite and putting it really tight but it still keeps coming off.

my 7700 in my b3 does 108mph(had my uncle use his radar gun he is C.H.P.) and it still will spin the tires at a dead stop on asphalt and wheelies on command. i wouldn't have it any other way. nice rusty man. soon i hope mine is that sick.

And speed, if you compare it to the VXL. The velineon has out did it self. On touring cars , you can get 90 with a bit gearing etc.

It is also MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE THAN Velineon

were did you get the heatsink with fan from? got a stampede vxl for xmas for him and is batterys are 9.6v and 10.8 will the car over heat what the best gearing to get top speed with out spendind lots ov money on lipo and he as a rustler xl5 that over heat all the time batterys run on is 9.6v and a 20 pino gear its was burn with 23 pinio gear got a heatsink for the vxl but know fan on it could you tell me what tempeture the motor should run at with a 10.8v 4600mha and 9.6 3700mha what temp runti

Temps are good, i run a small heat sink on the motor. I would get the 5700 b/c you can gert more speed. Go to Castle Creation's website for more details.

hey i been havin a problem with my rustler..when i bring it up to speed, it starts to fish tail..and when i picked the back of the car up to see the tires expaned..the left tire is moving faster than the right tire..how can i fix this problem

To stop the tires expanding at high speed you can use reinforced tape on the inside of the tires. Make sure the tape overlaps. I read that in a RC forum somwhere, havent tried it my self yet.

and it says with the right gearing and lipo it can reach 75+ mph

you have to over gear the vlx to make it go fast. you risk overheating the motor. i am running a 17 tooth pinion and going 55-60 mph, the vlx says you have to run a 32 tooth pinion to run 75+, i would say that if i did run a 32 tooth with my 5700 it would go well over 75 mph. mamba max makes a better motor and it is more customizable, you can even programm it with your computer. to me it is just a personal prefrence!

What size is your spur? I have a VXL stock and just bought another VXL roller to put my Mamba 5700 in. I will also be running 5000 lipo so the same secs as yours, any tips would be good...cheers!
