What you said is Not True. Very different from Ford acquision, this time Volvo is to retain its indenpendence and operates on its own. The Chinese company, Geely , provides Volvo with financial support and with help for Volvo Chinese market . No one, including Geely, will stupidly destroy their brand value by coping or blending. Because the huge Chinese market potential and Volvo's independence, I am confident this time Volvo will do alot better. Let's wait and see

range rover sport tdv8 is probably twice as expensive as the volvo xc90, yet this car is very comfortable and very safe as well, and it´s also a nice looking car, so basically you get a lot more for the money here, and that means a lot for most sensible people.

Yes, it's unfortunately Ford owns Volvo, but if there is an advantage to Ford owning Volvo then let me know. Boron steal roofs are the way to go. This secretary that stole a lot of money at my former job use to go to monster truck shows and she would always talk about how the monster trucks had a hard time crushing the roofs on Volvos.
