you do know that that engine was more capable then the one in your nissan right? The 5sfe has a cast iorn block, and forged internals stock. All you would have had to do was out 3sfte heads on it and slap on a turbo and you would have had 400+ hp.
@ITHINKICANFLYNO Well lets see 400+ hp on a 4 cylinder with automatic transmission, crappy suspension, very bad chasy, and drum brakes = death sentence. when tunning up a car you must consider other parts too 400+ hp will destroy the transmission and basically you have to change the hole car. The altima has 6 cylenders, I just installed a magnaflow exhust system, Japanese sport clutch and short intake and I got 330 hp with a standard manual 6 speed transmision, disk brakes, and sport suspension
I can even get more hp by changing the headers, rebuilding the engine, and adding turbo I would get more than 450 hp. Don't get me wrong though I loved that car and I wish I could have kept it. but you are right they had one of the best engines on them.
Alright then let me get down to the main point. There's nothing wrong with having a sleeper Camry. But why do you waste most of your money on cosmetics instead of engine upgrades ?
The car was salvaged when I bought it so I had to fix it especially the body work so I thought I can spend little more money to actually make it look descent for a teenager but as for the engine I did not want to waste money on an engine that only has 136Hp. I sold the car about a year ago and now I am working on my SER but this one I am upgrading the engine since it is a 3.5 V6
Wow, why the hell would you do those horrible mods to a Camry?
Stupid mexicans...
