Anyway, if you want to enter a conversation, you find an unoccupied frequency (tune into a frequency where you can't hear anything and ask if it's occupied, if nothing happens, it's not) and call CQ ("This is Kilo Juliett 6 Oscar Kilo Lima KJ6OKL calling CQ on [wavelength]" repeated in whatever order for about 20 seconds) and wait for a response.

I miss my boat-anchors; it's a bitch to be a poor ham. I owned many really cool rigs, but give them up to get more modern rigs. I thought I was trading up, but I'd love to have those desk crushers back.

My family is into container shipping business and my father showed me the radio room at his office which have that equipment (I think "Thrane" brand) But they were much larger and mounted on racks and the operators were using computers to run it instead of turning the dials etc.

Really enjoyed this. Very nice job. We have some similar ideas about what makes a great looking shack. One thing is to get the wires out of sight. Have to love wires, as in antennas, but dont want to see them in the shack. Wish the station ID could have been shown with each station but realize easier said than done. Wonder which video software you used? The clips are smooth and clear. Nice music to go with. Hope youll do more of these. Thanks for posting!

Hi Dave, This is a neat idea. One suggestion would be to add the station IDs as the photos are shown. We can figure out some of them since they have an ID sign in the setup, but others remain a question mark. Otherwise, very nice! By the way, K7AGE, in your video, also has posted some very nice stuff here. His user name is the same as his call sign.
