  • These vids are giving me much inspiration! I am in the process of getting my Ham License soon. Can't wait to start my own Ham shack! :)

  • Fine business~AB9QU

  • Inspiring. Thanks! 73 John KC0QWE

  • Hello,!!!

  • i love the rack mounts at 2:49

  • HEATH KIT DX 100 ! WHAT MEMORIES !!! 73 DE K9IOU K

  • Hey this is stupid but how t you say your wanting to enter a conversation or listening in. My callsign in KJ6OKL thanks

  • @Thercflyer96 I'm assuming you don't have you license yet. If you did, you'd probably know this. Anyway, if you want to enter a conversation, you find an unoccupied frequency (tune into a frequency where you can't hear anything and ask if it's occupied, if nothing happens, it's not) and call CQ ("This is Kilo Juliett 6 Oscar Kilo Lima KJ6OKL calling CQ on [wavelength]" repeated in whatever order for about 20 seconds) and wait for a response.

  • I'm looking for plans or equipment to finish an slf to vlf xmit station. So far I have a 1kw 1kv power supply, I need a modulator or atleast plans for one.

  • There is a 7 year old useing this, he passed the test a got his licens. I'm 11 so does ham radios cost a laght with all that untenas and stuff, becaus I getting sick of only hereing like 1 person every houre, and ignor me

  • 27 MHZ is the only good thing about HF. plus we drop the maul.

  • @MasterBowyer People have different lives and different passions, thank goodness!

  • Great Video OM:) 73 Jimmy, ARRL TS, WX9DX

  • Daaamm

  • Nothing like Ham Radio.

Thank you for posting this video.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • @MasterBowyer No you really don't need all that gear, but for SOME people this is their main hobby. How are you to figure how much stuff they need?

  • very nice !

  • I miss my boat-anchors; it's a bitch to be a poor ham. I owned many really cool rigs, but give them up to get more modern rigs. I thought I was trading up, but I'd love to have those desk crushers back.

Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind getting my first car and girlfriend back either. The car was a '64, the girl was a '51. Oh my misspent youth.

    32V3/75A3 where are you now?

"you don't always know what you've got 'till it's gone"

  • @langhilau You seem to have many mean things to say about other peoples videos to on ham radio. Also, no one thinks we are stupid. If people want to spend money on radios let them do that. People do that for every other hobby. My mother always told me, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."

    73,

    Dave W9MAV

  • @langhilau im a cber and why get ham radios? they aint worth shit an cbers can stomp the fuck out of those weak little yazoos an icoms with a cobra 2000 an a set of beams. this ham got on the other day an someone runnin barefoot stomped his ass, it was hilarious. plus women chase cbers but run from hams. i have a hole videyo series on it.

  • @CBRADIOLOVER oh oooooooooooooh what do we have here some poor white trash or nigger monkey from channel 6 hidding out in his trailer in the ozarks or maybe some slum in washington dc. yup one of them less then zero septic tank bottom feeders that has a great big antenna leaning against his little bitty trailer having his wife, mom and hoe ass daughter turn tricks at the truck stop sp he can buy another no name amplifier. learn to read something other then gun life & take the test stupid lol

  • @durtyreddz you need an edjucashun son, most cbers are rich, hams are poor people ushually, as seen in my videyo about cb vs ham lifestyle.

  • nice I like that 73

  • cool

  • In1967 I once had a big hammer station on a 50 footer parked 7 miles off Long Beach Habor flying the "Jolly Roger". The F.C.C. had the U.S.N. torpedo me 6 months later, lucky for me, I was a very good swimmer at that time. Now i'm just a fate memory.

  • Thou shalt not covet, Thou shalt not covet, Thou shalt not covet, Thou shalt not covet, Thou shalt not covet..................*sigh*

  • I once had a very nice looking station.

But that did not last to long.

    W0JAB

  • Where did the picture at 0:18 come from? That guy looks just like me. Its kind of weird.

  • Watch my video, the beauty in ham radio

  • That's cool! Whenever I look @ shack pics, I get ideas of some things I can do when I get to set one up, someday. Being a clliffdweller right now, I don't have many options! 73 de KB5WQW

  • Who is the ham at time 2:27? Is everything in that clip ham equipment? Or is some of it HI-FI stereo equipment? I think that might be a turntable to the left of one of those computer terminals but I'm not sure. Either way, DAMN!!!!!!! de KB0WQH

  • That is WA3USG. He has a video on youtube of his shack.

  • @1977kb0wqh1996 some of that is audio equpment also if you look above in top right corner that is a old reel to reel.

  • i love it 73's

  • Clearly on your page you are a Polish Supremacist. I respect all views but really not all Americans are dumb. That is a very ignorant way of looking at a country. I could say Polish people aren't funny, then again there could be several comedians in Poland. I do not like racism my friend. If you want to preach your racism go to another video, not Mine. This is a ham radio video please keep comments on topic or I will remove them.

  • You need a real radio like a cobra 2000 or a ranger, thems big radios unlike them crappy icoms or yazuus, man my antrons got 60 dolby an talks rings around the best ham beam, it takes a professional to do cb

just go search a video called ' anti ham radio cbs are better ' by redneckmikesr and he shows yall why, hams are jealous cause they dont have fancy stuff like echo mikes

  • Either you are the biggest troll I have ever seen or you are the most uninformed person ever.

  • Love the video. Music was superb too.

  • i to like to look at other peoples shacks, but some just seem to be way over the top

  • Exactly what was the music? I liked it.

  • Uhm............ Its a remix from a video game. Ill get back to you once i find it.

  • great video

  • My family is into container shipping business and my father showed me the radio room at his office which have that equipment (I think "Thrane" brand) But they were much larger and mounted on racks and the operators were using computers to run it instead of turning the dials etc.

  • Nice job, hope to see more of your productions.

    W3ETF

  • random

  • At 1:37..............looks like a crystal set in the RBO- RBB or RBC, grid bias meters?

  • haha, you have to see my piece of shit

  • Great vid, love looking at the gear. The wall of boat anchors are still impressive. Some guys are very creative and put commercial stations to shame.

  • Really enjoyed this. Very nice job. We have some similar ideas about what makes a great looking shack. One thing is to get the wires out of sight. Have to love wires, as in antennas, but dont want to see them in the shack. Wish the station ID could have been shown with each station but realize easier said than done. Wonder which video software you used? The clips are smooth and clear. Nice music to go with. Hope youll do more of these. Thanks for posting!

  • If I had all that 'ham' gear in my radio shack, I would know that the rapture has happened and that I have entered into the radio shack in Heaven with Jesus being the Eternal Control Operator of my Soul!!!!!! wb9sjz

  • ka9hjz

  • Can you make a video of bad ham shacks

  • "Can you make a video of bad ham shacks:

There is no such thing. The worst ham shack is better than none at all.

  • well said, as I sit here at my mess of a station.

  • Thanks Dave ,nice one.......Dave (M0OGY) UK

  • My station is a BIG GUN

  • Thanks for telling us. Really all you need is 5 watts and you can work the world.

  • Now I feal dumb! Can I work the world from a handheld

  • I liked the Drake at 3:10, loved all the relics and boat anchors (aka tube rigs). Nice vid, but don't forget TecTec USA. I finally got around to make a vid of my shack, not much these days, but it don't take much to get on the air.

  • You are the envy of the radio studio. BG6RKM

  • Hi Dave, This is a neat idea. One suggestion would be to add the station IDs as the photos are shown. We can figure out some of them since they have an ID sign in the setup, but others remain a question mark. Otherwise, very nice! By the way, K7AGE, in your video, also has posted some very nice stuff here. His user name is the same as his call sign.

  • Hearing your opinion would be interesting. I would like that.

Imagine if I played ONLY music in my videos!

  • 30 seconds was enough. You need to speak, tell us why you liked them

  • Hm I might work on that....

  • very very nice!! I think i've seen you on the qrz forums before? 73s ke5rrh!

  • Yes you have just look for the guy with the Cow avatar.

  • Good job!

    Terry-W3QJ
