Hah! I suck at tutorials... If I remember correctly, the first pattern is made up of entirely of the ENS machine, possibly with the SID for bass (Just a simple sine/triangle). The ENS machine is set to a static major chord that is p-locked to different chords for a couple of trigs (I think). It is heavily band pass filtered, and I used quite a lot of delay. Also, the attack parameter is set to around 10 (again, I think!) .
You are the reason I purchased this badass mother fucker, best mnm vids out there for sure. I will be unraveling its secrets for quite some time to come. I love it.
Wow those are awesome sounds.. especially the beat that comes in @ 2:30... Is that really all the Monomachine? I noticed the camera panned towards a Machinedrum that looked active so I was curious if that was playing too...
Hey there, Very nice and some good melodies finally! Question: can the MnM have all tracks playing one synth type if you want? or are only one instance allowed at a time? -like a song of six SIDs for example.
@Nilspils73 OH MAN! i must have looked away when the camera went past OSCAR. could you do a little demo with that some time? do you know the latest Tortoise record Beacons of Ancestorship? theres lots of oscar, machinedrum, and sidstation on it.
OSCar was my fist synth, and one of my all-time favourites. I used to have three of them, for polyphonic playing. I've only got one left now, which is in for a complete restoration. I'll see if I can get around to making a demo when I get it back, though after almost 20 years of ownership, I must admit to not feeling very creative with it anymore. For me, it's much easier making music with a Monomachine. Still, it's a fantastic instrument.
If I get the monomachine without a keyboard will it respond in the same way with a midi keyboard attached using 2 controller wheels?

@aikighost never tried but i think so.

@10s20s30s Hey thanks :) That's all Monomachine, yes. The Machinedrum receives a MIDI clock but it's not in the signal chain.

@TheScooteryt
Thanks! :) The answer to your question is yes; any of the six internal parts can have any synth type, no restrictions, so 6x SID is easy.

Sorry, I don't know that Tortoise album.

Thanks for your comments :)
I use the Monomachine to control OSCar and the other analog synths. It gives the analog synths a "new life".
