  • oooo and another tip...on the end of the hardner cap if u flip it around it has a hole punch thingy

  • would this hold my 70 lbs 18" fi bl? im not being a smartass im just wondering cuz this shit is really cool and i would like to do it to it lol

  • so is that just an ordinary blue cloth u used?

  • Dude, so what kind of fiberglass did you use? Mat or cloth? I know its not in vid but you said in the next one you used it.

  • @oOTopdeKOo I used cloth on this build..I cut it in even strips about 3" wide by about a foot long and layered it about 5 times

  • @lombo352 Cheers man. I figured that's what you prob did. Thanks for the layering amount. Wasn't too sure how much was needed. One other quick thing...How did you apply the glass? Did you soak it or paint resin on one side to paste it down? Also, did you resin the whole piece first before applying layer 1 of glass? Cheers in advance man!

  • @oOTopdeKOo used a paint brush and just painted it while it was on the box...make sure to get all the air bubbles out

  • I am going to be building a fiberglass box for my truck but need to mold the floor of my back seat how would you go about doing this?

  • @factoryktm76 Tape the floor with masking tape and line it with tin foil

  • @lombo352 Then do you put the resin on that and use that as the bottom of the mold or what?

  • @factoryktm76 yeah resin and layer fiberglass mat

  • 3:59 for flat tits.lol

  • hi can u tell me what kind of fabric it is that ur using thank u

  • @richyscooby this build i used sports fabric...very stretchy and doesnt soak up alot of resin

  • @lombo352 thanks

  • im gettin a bazooka sub from a friend, is there a way to make a nice mould around it in a different shape to make it look better as well as making an inlet for the amp to be supported on the box? im gonna just stick the whole bazooka sub into the enclosure

  • @godowar35 yeah you can do anything you want according to your skill level

  • YOUR SON JUST RUINED CLONE WARS FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPOILER ALERTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • Is the cloth you stretched over the box, fleece or some other fabric? thanks.

  • @beatz02 its some other fabric...you can use any type of fabric... my video proves it

  • wow thank you very much i found a worthy video that in wich u explane on how to make a fiberglass subwoofers from scratch and i now know what to do an get in order to do a sub for my impala. ive been looking for answers on how to make a subwoofers by myself and i ask others on how to do it but no response to my comments. i also looked up (how to make a fiberglass sub) and them othere videos show no step by step. all they show is there progress nothing more. thank you for this video.

  • @214bobby thats why i made this vid...thanks for watching

  • Can you drill the box after its finished drying with out it cracking??

  • @MrChrisbby12 sure can

  • Hey lombo, when you put the fiberglass on and the resin does that hold your speaker rings in place or how do you in sure they'll stay on once you take the brace off

  • @jasonmc5155 because the rsin dries hard as a rock and hlds the shape

  • one more thing, from where do u start stapling?from the middle?or around first, then the middle?

  • @Migzc90 just pick a spot and go for it

  • @lombo352 thanks dude

  • @lombo352 where do you buy your fiberglass?

  • So u dont use any fiberglass sheet??

  • @Migzc90 yes the video was corrupt and i couldnt upload it...but once you resin the fleece you came back and layer either fiberglass mat/cloth to build up the thickness

  • @lombo352 right after the resin dries or after sanding the resin??

  • @Migzc90 i would wait till the resin dries hard...that way it will hold the shape...then layer more resin and fiberglass to build up the thickness...dont sand the resin...thats a wasted step

  • how much do you charge to build one?

  • @casey13088 depends on what you want done

  • Looks like a big ole set of boobs!!!

Nice Videos though. Thanks for sharing with us...

  • Where do you add the staples when you are attaching the fabric. I heard in some places it will cause leaks. Should I add the staples to the edge or to the sides.

  • @5ghostshadow it wont cause leaks as long as you resin over the staples

  • @lombo352 thanks for response and great set of vids. I now feel comfortable enough to try my first box.

  • Nice

  • 6:23 your subwoofer box looks like a department store manikin's torso

  • Never Mind Bro I Read The Messages In The Bottom .. But Where Did You Buy That Sheet?

  • Hey Lambo Is That Fabric You Use A Speacial Kind Of Fabric Or I Could Just Use Any Sheet? Please Reply.. Im Tring To Make A Box That Holds (4) 12" Subs.. For My 05 Mercury Sable

  • @OmarLauqhAlot I used a polyester cloth, and made some adjustments with a bed sheet. See my channel, the video about the camaro shows the finished box. If you have any questions, PM me, I'll be glad to help.

  • 5:09 to 5:12 sexual lol good video man

  • So is that pretty much a normal day, working on a project and getting asked questions about Star Wars?

Great vid, Trying to make a box for my e39 and save trunk space. I might just use the battery cover.

  • Where do u get it or can u use any fabric?

  • @firereef1 you can use an old tshirt anything that will stretch over your design and soak up the resin

  • Wat type of fabric is dat?

  • @kckeeper1 stretchy sports fabric very thin

  • @lombo352 alrite, cuz i used thin stretchy fabric to but its been 2 days and the shit still its like rock hard like its stiff but u can still flex the fabric a lil,

  • @kckeeper1 yeah putting the resin over the fabric and letting it dry for an hr or so it will hold its shape....you have to layer on some fiberglass mat or cloth and it will be really strong

  • @lombo352 alrtie, dats wat i figured, i bout to put the pieces of mat on now so well see how it goes from there

  • You have the best step by step video I going to try my first box this weekend I have the revo 3.3 5309 I just put the OS 30vg on it you can look at the video before the new motor was on it just search alifuchs thanks again for the awesome video ill let you know how mine turns out

  • @EaglesFootball85 not really i could remeasure it but i dont think that would help you

  • What do you use to cut your circles?

  • @jwanlewis08 check out my vid on that

  • lol my kids always interupt me when im doing stuff 2 lol they are great tho. thnx for the vid though most ppl dont take u thru all the steps

  • @preyab1 thanks im glad you liked it!!

  • @lombo352 Nice video very helpful but i was just wandering home much fiber resin bondo and fiberglass matting did you use?

  • How do you get the correct volume ? The inside of that box is abstract .

  • @Blindshot69 I measured the dimensions and cut the bottom and middle boards to the lengths specified by rockford and just stretched the fleece over the top to give .50cft for each sub

  • @Blindshot69 Probably estimation. Combo of cubic volume (b.w.h) and cylindrical (pi.r^2.length)

  • at the begining it looks like he is looking at a woman that is about to have a baby

  • @DJNathanH lol

  • i c a lot of videos of fiberglass sub box, using strecth cloth and fiberglass mat. but no t fiberglass cloth, will that still work too?

  • @chingville i used the fiberglass cloth to make this enclosure

  • Hmmm, helpful video, how many coats of resin would you say for a door pod? 2?

  • @YoungGunzBass01 I would say about 4 layers minimum of fiberglass

  • @lombo352 Thanks! I'll post a video of it done as a video response in a week or so.

  • @YoungGunzBass01 awesome! Good luck

  • i made the mistake of stapling on the edge, now i have to break off alllllllll the edges and bondo it, always staples around the edge not on it lol

  • wow i love your work! where did you buy your resin and harder at? I want to use the exact same stuff

  • @chingville thanks very much! you can get the supplies from any home depot , lowes, walmart, any autozone or advanced auto stores...napa

  • wow i love your work. where did you buy your resin and filler at? i want to use the same good stuff you use

  • Is good

  • where did you buy your cloth?

  • @elmochivas00 i bought about 3 yards from walmart...but you can go to any craft store or where ever else they sell fabrics...you dont have to use fleece...i reccomend using something that stretches well

  • nice video bro you helped me out

  • @MrZiggy1979 makes it all worth while...good luck!

  • Thnx for ur help brother ill update my car and show u the box i build also ive since sold my green convertable

  • @707mustang707 start on some practice pieces first

  • If u could brother could u give me a list of the supplies i should get to do this.....

  • @707mustang707 depending on how big its going to be you will need at least 1 32oz can of resin and hardner... 8oz package of fiberglass cloth or mat... 1 can of bondo and hardner to make it smooth...thats about it...any questions feel free to ask... good luck

  • Where are u located i need a box for my hatchback 5.0 mustang i was gunna use the spare tire spot as a template for the start bcuz thats where i want it what do u think can i do this myself?

  • @707mustang707 you can do it yourself for sure...just depends on your skill lvl... i learned how to build feberglass boxes from youtube a couple years ago..so yah anythings possible.... im in the central florida area

  • looks like an upper portion of a femails body lol... my next sub exotic build i will consider doing a full body... ahhh, what a great idea

  • @CRSHDMY yeah i was told that a few times.....cant go wrong with that right lol

  • @lombo352... it would be a super tedious gob though, it would take forever haha... im currently watching all of your fiberglass videos to get a good understanding of it... im going to be doing a much larger build this summer, and i was wanting to do a fiberglass amp rack for 2 Planet audio AC5000.1s, and a AC1800.5

  • @CRSHDMY well stayed tuned i have 4 more builds coming in the next month or 2...my next customer has a grand marquis.. have a 03 caddy and im going to start on my own truck

  • Do you add any fibergalss matt on top of the fleece for strength or do you go straight to bondo on top of the fleece? Where is the best place to get the fleece?

    Thanks

  • @joeelutz yes if you watch my other videos i explained that i did use fiberglass mat and layered it on top of the fleece...i just didnt get any video of it....and you can get the fleece or fabric from any fabric store and even some walmarts...thanks for watching!!!
