I cried during this part....In my opinion, It's one of the most amazing scenes put on screen not only for animation, but by anyone. The fact that they're just able to let go and die with each other and accept death is so powerful and they're faces are amazing. Great work by pixar....toy story 3 is amazing!

The real ending was very mature, Andy being able to remember all the good times with his toys, and give them to another kid that could make her own memories with them, and moving on. That part was so beautiful, it really made me cry alot. Besides, it really deals with growing up and remembering the things you loved as a kid.

This ending, I think, would have ruined several hundred childhood memories we all harbour for these films. Actually, the real film ending did that to me too, the real ending was WRONG! I was distraught, it has totally destroyed my happy memories of the first 2 films. It would have been better if the toys went to the attic, then we have a scene year later where Andy gets them down and gives them to his son, and it all starts agan :(

EXACTLY! It wouldn't be an ENDING. It'd be a new start, while still wrapping up the story. It'd conclude the story like the real ending would have, and also reset the story back to movie 1, so it'd remaing true to the series. The real ending is just an ending, nothing more, it doesn't create the feeling of a happy ending, as a happy ending wouldn't be an ending.

Andy could still be as young as 25 to have a son age 5 like he was in 1. So he would still be in thouch with mum.
