Things have changed, and on the surface level music seems worse because of commercialization of simple, crap music. like everything that is on the top 40 charts if you compare that to the pop music of the older days I would agree. But there are still plenty of great talented bands around in my opinion, just a matter of being able to find stuff you enjoy
