  • U are so fucking good !!!!!!!! B-)

  • Wow--you have so many subtle things going on, yet maintaing the groove the whole time. I fell asleep while listening to this the first time--hoping to internalize subconsciously since I am just a beginner. I like your style, man. Keep it up. This is the 8th time I have listened to this so far.

  • Amazing stuff as usual..could you please explain the theory/modal structure behind the double stops @ 1:16? Thanks a lot and keep on grooving!

  • @shaunabdilla Nothing .. got it =D (C + F + C giving a sus 4, and C + E + C giving a major, awesome idea =D )

  • Marlowe, you are quite amazing on the bass

  • This jazz bass is beautifull:)great vid

  • this is my favorite video of someone filming themselves play bass so far. finally a video where someone understands what a groove is. thank you so much.

  • gr8!

  • yeah that feels right, impressive

  • love u!

  • how'd i miss this one? LOVE it!

  • that was fantastic - I would love to see you play live some day!

  • hohoo, you got a great tone at the end

  • okay, I'm impressed

  • Hey Man, you´re the groove. Keep doing it!! i was wondering what´s the year and the wood of that jazz bass, because i think it doesn´t sounds like your Marcus miller jazz bass, i rather the bass of this video. Regards from Spain

  • its still working the old fella 63' .. beautiful axe!

keep up the good job young man

  • very nice, veeery nice ! About pickup settings, I was wondering - since those p-bass slap grooves of yours are so amazing - how would it sound to slap that j-bass with just the neck pickup ? Would it sound somewhat similar to p-bass slappin' - whatta ya think ??

  • Great playing as always and that '63 Jazz is sweet. Too bad those basses are so rare and ridicoulosly expensive these days.

It sounds like you are favoring the front pickup. Am I correct?

  • Not really, for slap both pickups and tone full, for fingers im pulling the front and tone a bit back for a Jacoish tone

  • Really smooth - nice riff, great sound!
