  • One of my fave actors from the school of real actors.

"I WILL SEE YOU ON THE BEACH. BLACK JACK CODY MICHAEL....always sends HIS BEST TO YOU & CODY.~~~~I CAN NOT THANK ENOUGH 4 THE MIRACLES

  • I've been watching quite a lot of these and I am impressed with the handwriting skills of these guests....I doubt many of todays stars could do anything more than print their names..... we have lost most of these simple skills..

  • man, answer the damn questions!

  • the guy did all the right answers and the bitch get the prize.. no fair!!!!!

  • 5:10...Jack with the bird :)

  • He was great in the City Slickers Movies.

  • Confidence if very sexy... Don't you think??

  • He's using his Ukrainian ascent!

  • HERO

  • Their real names were Guglielmo Papaleo, Giuseppe Antonio Berardinelli and Giuseppe Curreri. There is no way anglo saxon americans at that time are going to support boxers with names like that. Race has always been very intertwined with the history of boxing as at one time it was seen as a way of deciding racial superiority. Black american fighters already had anglo names or slave names as Ali would call it. Italian, Jewish & other immigrants had to change names to be accepted.

  • @danielcomments funnily enough all strong names just happen to be anglo saxon names, so lets face it there is some racism in there. same thing happened in boxing willie pep, johnny dundee, joey maxim and many others all anglophied their names- they wouldnt get a following from the white masses otherwise and seats needed to be filled back then by people who could afford it.

  • Im glad he gave his real name. Its a shame due to the ignorance of the public and hollywood that people had to change their names back then. Was he tough? Well he was a miner from Pennslyvania and boxed professionally at 6ft 4 as a heavyweght including against world title contender Joe Baksi - so yes.

  • Gentlemen & ladies. You don't see the likes of them anymore.

  • What an actor! I was surprised that Dorothy Kilgallon(sp?) guessed it right. How did she know?? His scary, believable roles in Shane, Jeckyll and Hyde, but not City Slickers, are the best ever.

I have some obscure spaghetti westerns he starred, but nothing like his roles cited above.

His role in "God's Gun" and one with Tony Perkins - when the role was a gunfighter losing his vision - was good but hard.

  • @Rapappport if you listen closely after she said jack palance she gave credit to bennett then touch his cheek.

  • @doc1917 Yes. How was Palance able to speak in different accents?

He was the first and scariest villain in "Shane", a horror in 'Jeckel and Hyde" and on Broadway. Sure he was in some "Spaghetti Westerns" which I have, but nothing like his role in a real western "Shane".

  • @doc1917 Do you mean that Dottie and Bennett cheated??

  • @Rapappport what i meant was with all the stuff you hear about dorothy being a tough game player who always takes it so seriously. she can give credit to someone who helped her solve the mystery guest. also so some kindness.

  • @doc1917 Ah so I see. Thanks for pointing that out to me! Some kindness and credit. I did not know that Jack Palance was such a good actor and speak perfectly the King's English. He had 'em guessing for quite some time. I was around at that time and did watch that show. It was hilarious and such fun to see the gallery guessing at an unknown while we did know. Happy holidays!

  • Wow. Sexy.

  • What a HUNK!!! Shame they don't make men like THAT anymore. 7:03 pm April 25 2010

  • ohhh the good times ... everyone seemed much happier back then right ?

  • @fackafacka maybe they even were

  • @fackafacka That's because technology didn't exist. After the internet came on people literally lost their lives. Kids stay 24/7 inside their homes in front of video-games, computer, etc. And the teens/adults are getting lazy each day. Blackberry, Iphone, Itouch, Ipad, laptop, ps3, Xbox360, all this shit just ruined people's lives.

  • is Jack Palance you stupid morons, very easy !!

  • i remember when jack hosted "ripley's believe it or not" in the '80s. jack was a TRUE bad-ass, a great actor and boxer!!!

  • i was born in 1957 and i wish things in this nation did not change as they have.

  • pure evil personafied in SHANE - Jack was a powerful actor and always did a super job- his eyes had such impact on the big screen- mostly under-rated actor- but Jack was finally Honored in City Slickers , for all his effort in the industry-

  • jack's an ex boxer he wouldn't hit a man in glasses

  • Is he related to Chuck Palunuik, the author of Fight Club?

  • No, both are UKRANIAN by birth.

  • It is strange to see people who are now dead during the prime of their lives.

Celebritities were so laid back in the fifties.

  • @fivestarmichael Jack Palance was always in him prime.

  • @dfcvda Right on man.

  • @fivestarmichael that's because everyone was wasted. nowadays they all do heroin and blow.

  • No card flip at 4:25!

  • Bennett isn't sitting in his usual end seat! And THAT is the correct way of saying PALANCE!

  • Jack was severely burnt in an airplane crash{I think} and had to have plastic surgery.

  • he looks gorgeous and tall

  • @moaningmags He was 6'4

  • Hi fellow posters! Some of you younger ppl might remember him from the movie City Slickers. He was pretty old by then but in great shape. He won the Oscar and did one handed push ups on the stage after he won and he was an OLD man. I saw it live (on tv when it aired) and laughed my mm off. It is on youtube somewhere. Great star from the Golden Days or whatever one wants to call them. :-)

  • Haha! Jack is brilliant!

  • Whoops- sorry for the double post. ;) I marked it as spam so it can be deleted!

  • love arlene and to be honest i had to google him i didnt no who he was? but i do now this was funny x

  • Agreed on both - I have to google too once in a while but the again: I also like the parts with the unfamous guests! (:

  • Agreed on both - I have to google too once in a while! :P but then again: I also do like the fragments with the 'common' guests (:
