It's not Belle's place to talk that way to the Beast. On the other hand, he couldn't handle Belle moving in on reign, could he? He didn't want to face the fact that Belle just might the castle's NEW master, so she's ultimately a princess. Those two could've been enemies until the climax. So confusing.

My favorite movie from Disney! And this is one of my favorite scenes... I love how it starts, a little bit funny, and then, she shows she's grateful, and he calms down... Love it!
The Beast should've ended this with, "Well if you done what I asked you to do, I wouldn't have lost my temper! I told you to stay away from the rose! You disobeyed and endangered me. You have shamed this castle."

Did she dip that rag in alcohol or something? I don't think water makes wounds sting. And after seeing him wince in pain the first time she applied the rag to his cuts, how can say that it "might" sting a little? Still one of my fave Disney movies!
Belle truly is Disney's first fully realized heroine. She's intelligent but has simple desires. She's compassionate and caring, but doesn't take anyone else's crap. It's also great to see a Disney movie where the two lead characters gradually grow to love each other by getting past each other's differences and flaws rather than the typical "You're really pretty so I'll abandon everything I hold dear to be with you!" *cough* Ariel *cough*
