You're right. You caught me. I totally faked the whole thing to gain youtube fame. Now that you've seen through my ruse my budding music career has been cut short. I hope you're happy, now I'm going to have to live on Alpo dog food and the toppings left in pizza boxes now.
Hysteria is actually a very easy bass line. It follows the same pattern throughout the three main parts and once you learn it you can practice it and perfect it.

But i'm just confused you make it look like theres so much effort playing this song like your going up to fret 5 D: which is stretching and making it harder to play i say you also start on sting 3 and i start on string 2 when i play it xD and i only ever play it on string 1 2 and 3 but your going to 4 if i see correctly XD great video but i think that the way you play it is more challenging than the way i do but great job :D *thumbs up*
total cop out answer, but id say just a matter of practice! its tiring, but you just gotta keep at it for a few weeks to strengthen up the muscles. It might be your doing to too hard, in which sometimes turning the volume up but picking more lightly will help alot.
i have 2 questions regarding..i have the same four stringer..but action is just two wide..how to adjust the action..plus what is t he difference between 5 and 4 stringer..is 5 easier..or what
Im not sure what you mean by the action being "two wide".... but the action is adjusted with a hex key by adjusting the truss rod which is accessible at the head of the guitar. The difficulty level between playing a 5 string and 4 string isnt much different, its just a matter of adjustment, the 5 string has a Low B string,in addition to the standard EADG arrangement.
the distortion is from a Digitech overdrive pedal.... not that great, but it works. The amp is not GK, the amp is a yorkville XM200 combo. The GK is simply a 2x10 extension cabinet.
hate that song, but love the bass line!

Well, guess Ill jump in since its my video, but my comment is that even if something is easy, it can be condescending to others to boldly say so.

ulyssessamson 4 years ago
I believe that distortion is used, if not... then Im not sure how the tone is achieved.
iadans 4 years ago
I also heard that he uses some kind of synthesiser(not sure the correct spelling)
Btw, I like ur bass guitar
