Obama and Timothy Geitner were aware of the bonus situation a full year in advance and put nothing in the bill to prevent it despite warnings to the contrary. Now they're feigning outrage. The real reason is that Obama was the LARGEST recipient of AIG's campaign contribution. Look it up for yourself.

Your indifference to other's hardship is typical among Obama worshipers. Millions of people are lower middle class employees who have their earnings invested automatically in 401K plans. Obama and Timothy Geitner were aware of the bonus situation a full year in advance and put nothing in the bill to prevent it despite warnings to the contrary. Now they're feigning outrage. The real reason is that Obama was the LARGEST recipient of AIG's campaign contribution. Look it up for yourself.

Obama is not making us pay bonuses. AIG made their initial deal wihth the bush admin and the fed reserve. Obama is currently trying to navigate that shitty deal, and actively looking for a way to stop AIG from paying bonuses.

that budget bill was in the pike before obama's admin. he did say it would be the last of the old style pork laden budget bills, but didn't think it was worth going to battle and risk freezing the government while we are currently in a crisis.
