I don't understand why she does such long and intentional pauses. This chops up the kata and makes it look like a seizure. Sensei Higaonna's version simply flows from technique to technique.
I have been in Okinawan karate for 26 years. I have been in countless tournaments and won many times. Wakai's kata are some of the best I have ever seen. I agree with Colemandina. What have you done?
Seems that this guy is specialized in dropping this kind of advice on kata videos, without having any idea of the great time laughing he offers to people spending time to look at his "flawless" stuff.
lol
As an example, when I have a student kicking like him (veronachamp), I stop him/her practising kata and send it back to kicking lessons, without bending the head like a chicken at each kick.
But "flawless kururunfa" can be very usefull for students. To see what they should not do...
I went to the FLAWLESS performance and it was struggling to impress me the performer had a green belt. Atsuko Wakai has won FOUR World titles. May I ask what grade you are Veronchamp or even be so bold as to ask what friggin planet you're on????
she's really good in this tournament version of kururunfa. I'm learning this kata right now and I'm just starting to appreciate it in its deepest meanings.
I'm quite lucky, since I'm not studyng any shitei form. I'm in Yamaguchi's IKGA and I'm learning more "traditional" forms ;), not the odd "dances" changed for tournaments!
oh this is just what i wanted to see you here trolling again, stop stalking me STALKER and stop harrasing atheists. you know nothing of martial arts by the way starving marvin, why don't you post a video showing that you know wtf you're talking about>?

I don't know why people comment bad things on this video, where no-one (Maybe 1 or 2) can do it better than this.

This kata was done very well. She knew what every movement should do. It also shows her precise technique and precise strikes.
Kata is not for show/combat. Kata is using your techniques. Learning them. Knowing how to use them. Kata is also a state of meditation almost.
Not really for fighting and competitions. (although used in latter).
Well done.

The Kata was pure because she understood what each technique was for. Great performance.

I went to the flawless performance too and it was pretty bad. Compare it to Higaonna Morio's version.

Good luck considering the kata has been changed from (what is available that can be seen) the original version.
Typical modern day karate. Wont work because some pratt made changes from the original method.
Might look good in a tournament but other wise no point in doing the stupid thing.
