This video is over 3 months old... There is now an amendment to the bill known as the “Tester Amendment” — after Senator Jon Tester, D-Mont. — it provides producer exclusions and alternatives based on the size of operation, geographic location and customer base. These issues are now moot.
@rag4k Yes, there is the Tester Amendment, but many people think this amendment will be null and void if the FDA "has reason to believe" that there is an infraction to the multitude of regulations this bill will inflict on our small farmers. What does that mean? Only time will tell. Once this bill is passed, our food freedom is greatly threatened. Also, the House did a very sneaky thing by attaching it to a spending bill which must be passed by the end of the year.
I just downloaded and searched all 242 pages of the bill and there is not a single instance of the word "seed" anywhere in the bill. IBD needs to clarify how this bill will impact seed production.
I know some things were taken out, but it's not to say they won't try to implement these plans later. Keep your eyes open. I'm not quite sure if they dropped the seed and organic regulations or not. I know they tried to make heirloom seeds illegal, but I can't find that.

You would be subject to search, seizure, confiscation & destruction of your crops & property!

If the government told you that you must have a "walking license" that allows you to get out of bed and walk to your mailbox or to walk downtown on public sidewalks, would you say "well, if you don't pay for a license, you may get fined and thrown in jail!", would you pay it in order to avoid fines, or would you at that point begin killing anyone wearing a government costume that attempted to enforce such tyranny?

@rag4k Yes, there is the Tester Amendment, but many people think this amendment will be null and void if the FDA "has reason to believe" that there is an infraction to the multitude of regulations this bill will inflict on our small farmers. What does that mean? Only time will tell. Once this bill is passed, our food freedom is greatly threatened. Also, the House did a very sneaky thing by attaching it to a spending bill which must be passed by the end of the year.

I just downloaded and searched all 242 pages of the bill and there is not a single instance of the word "seed" anywhere in the bill. IBD needs to clarify how this bill will impact seed production.

I know some things were taken out, but it's not to say they won't try to implement these plans later. Keep your eyes open. I'm not quite sure if they dropped the seed and organic regulations or not. I know they tried to make heirloom seeds illegal, but I can't find that.
Supposedly there was a big uproar a few places about it and they shoveled some of the more extreme stuff under the rug.
Remember, conspiracies exist, sometimes though, they hide their plans before we can see.

I clicked on the link, THANKS FOR SHARING!!!! The acid rain is killing my veggies as it is, I will grow my own food, I cant take a chance of buying something down south or east that has even more toxic chemicals on it. Those toxic chemicals in the ocean evaporate in the air and are carried with wind rain and dumped on land..Next year I will only eat what I grow and thats it!

This will backfire.
If passed,it may ban small farms,organic farms,etc,but it will have the effect of making it more expensive and cumbersome to acquire produce resulting in more people growing their own produce in their own back yards.
This will be defied on a national basis by tens of millions of citizens(myself included since I will promptly plant a garden if S510 passes) and will actually individualize instead of centralize the growing of vegetables.

Go back and re-read what you wrote where it starts with a line saying "This will backfire." it has a bit of a "We'll be fine even if this passes" tone.
Am I endorsing a bill if I point out that I personally have no way of working around it? I'm not. That seems to be the only part of it that you might somehow get that impression from.
And "rich" is subjective, A home we own and a yard of our own is a faraway dream to many of us.

Nowhere in those sentences did I imply that "we rich people with land will be ok",it is a comment that theorizes that the laws cannot take force if enough people defy it,that's all.

@dgl1962 I'm right there with you & wish that were true, however, because of the wording in this bill you do realize that you would be classified the same as a small farm & would therefore be subject to regulation & requirements such as huge insurance & you would be required to use chemical pesticides, fungicides, etc. & prove that you purchased seeds from approved sources & did not save your own seed. You would be subject to search, seizure, confiscation & destruction of your crops & property!

In any case, neither outcome is desirable & it begs the question who really stands to benefit from this bill? because it's not the American people.

If the government told you that you must have a "walking license" that allows you to get out of bed and walk to your mailbox or to walk downtown on public sidewalks, would you say "well, if you don't pay for a license, you may get fined and thrown in jail!", would you pay it in order to avoid fines, or would you at that point begin killing anyone wearing a government costume that attempted to enforce such tyranny?
At what point would it make you realize that you've become a slave and revolted?

This has been in the world for some time now. They have already passed many of these bills in Canada. no matter what we tried to say the Canadians were asleep and did not want to hear it. Now the same problem in the US. Americans think that we are actually making this up. and they think that will never happen. So please try to educate family and friends.
