  • I hear M1 Garands and people yelling "Medic up front!"

I doubt that they were russian.

  • Great film!

What units were used in this and where did you film it?

  • very good sound!

  • Excellent depiction, this took alot work to accimplish. Good job!

  • There is a BOB soundbyte from 5:56 .

  • Socialists neglect the individual. Unless youre high ranking in "The Party" youre worth absolutely nothing. Sacrificing millions of his men in suicidal assaults against superior firepower didnt even make him rise an eyebrow.

  • nice btw "Deckung" means "take cover". "incoming" means "Sie kommen" or "Der Feind kommt" and the end is just hilarious :D

  • Great effort, keep it up.

  • @diramonsky i agree

  • oh and Ivanovs death could have been a bit more dramatic:)

  • not critisising, just pointing things out: 1. the guys who die at 4:20 just dont look like they got hit at all. 2. some music would help alot. 3. the guys at 5:08 just look like they knelt down carefully, maybe if they didnt all fall forward it would be better. 4. 5:21 same thing, deaths look too fake.

all in all, very good, but the action should be worked on more, it looks like an old 70s/80s war movie, not too profesional.Big fan, Good luck.

  • amazing i love it

  • what does russian soldiers with 88mm flak guns wtf

  • @SStotenkopfgruppen

They could have captured it. As I understand it Artillery was often captured by both sides and used against the original owners.

  • GREAT JOB GUYS if your even on the gulf coast, alabama, florida, georgia, mississippi, tennessee, or louisiana, message me and ill be there

  • One of my friends just worked on a shoot for you .. you are inspiring me to finish my PM1910 Maxim semi and 1917 browning projects .. Keep up the good work!!

  • Pretty darn good! You guys need some bloodbombs- or whatever those caps are called, that they put in vests, and you push a button, and it looks like gun shots- Maybe you were trying to not make the movie that gory- not saying you need limbs flying around. More explosions would be nice. :) But all in all- very good- and looks expensive!

  • I've been told that as gory as war is, bullet hits don't usually result in blood fountains. The bullet goes in the front and out the back and all you basically see is a hole in front. Out the back, its a different story. :-)

When we get a budget, it will be more violent and several of our explosions failed to go off this time.

  • @HansB1 where are you doing all this?Which country?

  • Fantastic!!!

  • this is amazing

  • Putting stuff like this together can't possibly be cheap and easy. I admire your courage and vision and I think some of the comments on here are WAY offside. I wish you all the best and I hope your films get bigger and better.

  • Great work Hans! It's definitely coming along! I like the scene with the tank rolling over the camera!

  • wow, awesome dude.

    5*****

i LOVE the t34 tank^^ really, awesome movie

  • I was rolling when all three Russians dropped at the same time at 5:07. That was straight of an 80's Rambo film. Also, at that same spot (5:08) you can hear M1 Garands shooting and pooping clips in the background track. Garands on the the Ost front?

  • If you watch the guy with the MP40, he mows them all down in the same burst. Hence, the close together fall-down times.

    HB

  • I did hear the m1 ping.

    didnt notice it before.

  • Nice Work Hans!

I have some ideas for some more films like this.

  • Let me know if you need my personal email address to discuss those.

  • Good job, man!

  • Amazing for an amateur film! Loved the slow mo mortar explosion!

  • Yeah, I tell people "Look what we did with no money. Imagine, --if we had a budget ! "

That slow-motion shot is supposed to be a 105mm hit. not a mortar, which is why the dirt cloud was so large. It takes a while for all that dust to dissipate, which is why it seemed to be slow-mo.

    HB

  • ahhhhhh ok, it's just that when we see the Russian "artillery" shooting they've only got an 88 and a mortar and the the scene seems slowed down because of the way the German's (who shouts the warning) trouser moves. Also loved the T-34 driving over the camera after 4:30

Like I said before, amazing for an amateur film! keep em coming!

  • That's a Soviet 85mm, not an 88.. :-)

    More is on its way.

    HB

  • Wow! Wonderful movie!
