@AcuteAngelito No, I meant those small red, white, grey rings in that small plastic zip bag. It's alright, I got my answer while playing around with the pen. ;)
I'm guessing you are talking about the Intous4 without wireless which is still a lot more than the Fun. The Fun has half the pressure, almost half the price but has some cool swipe and finger features. The Intous4 has 2048 levels of pen pressure but no swipe and finger features.
I would compare it with Photoshop and PaintShop Photo Pro. One's virtually unafforable with detail control while the other is more for the general public who doesn't need all the expert features.
@AcuteAngelito What I would do is if this is going to be your first board, go with the Fun. If you like it or need something with more pressure, sell it on eBay and get the Wacom Medium. Who knows, maybe by that time they will have the Wacom have the Fun features and vice versa.
I really want an intous4 medium(no wifi) but I was looking at the prices for a bamboo fun medium and it's like $100 cheaper. Which one do you recomend?
@dindush1 The active drawing "screen" is smaller than the medium (and you don't get a mouse). What really sucks for me is that I still use a 4:3 monitor. It's a hard trade off, wireless freedom versus drawing screen size and mouse. I went with wireless and I've never looked back; it really does have a different feel (wireless). Check out reviews from Amazon and etc.
@demon7seven I think it may still be the same, having it for a month now, I see the nib flattening out slightly on one side. Honestly, I like the nibs slightly chiseled; it has the feel of a worn ultra-thin sharpie. I know, I know, give it two weeks and I'll have to buy another one.
Thanx for the reply.. I bought a wired Intuos4 M yesterday and I expect it to be delivered within the next few days.. I guess I have to bear with the nib wear, all for the brilliant features of the tablet.. That is why I have ordered extra nibs in advance..
You said the nib is flattened slightly over a month's period.. How many hours do you use the tablet for daily?
@demon7seven Awesome! The wired version is amazing for that price too! I'm usually tethered also for what I do mostly with it. I use it every other day for 3 hours average. I do use the pressure sensitivity and heavy at times too.
@humanobsidian I'm using XP and there's a little Wacom icon on the notification (right) side of the taskbar. Hover over it and it will tell you how much % you have left. Of what I noticed, since I'm scared to have it drop to 0% (read the instruction, dropping it to 0% and you'll have to buy a new battery), it takes me about 3-5 hours to go from 100% to 85% (then I charge again). I'm guessing it's how much you use it, I use it for Photoshop, Illustrator, desktop, web and WinAmp.
@MustaineV No lag at all compared to the wired Intuos4. Also, you can use this while it's plugged in to USB to charge at the same time (no difference in performance). If you google it, the only thing that is lagged or annoying is when you switch from wired to Bluetooth (doesn't at all bother me at all). You won't believe however, the difference it is from being wired to being about to wirelessly hold the tablet freely and naturally!

I think it would be cool if they would save us 50.00 USD and just put it in a cardboard box.

Question, If you've used any other pen tablet, did you notice any lag at all when using this compared to a wired tablet?
