no wonder your making so little hrose power stock boost is between and 11 i was running 16 psi untuned on 14b turbo for a year till i upgraded........
Sick car man, I have a 96 GS that i wana build up for now. But yea dont put a carbon fiber hood on it, get like a fiberglass and just paint it, or a carbon fiber one if you really want, but paint it. Look much better, not rice
DSM is Diamond Star Motors. A joined operation between mitsubishi and chrysler. They call it DSM cause both there car symbols are diamond star shaped.

As long as you have DSMlink/aka ECUTuning, you can have 1500cc injectors run like 450s, as like i have 850's on a Evo3, more then enough but tuned right. Keep up on it, mine should be running this spring.
Just an update: I actually got all the parts I mentioned, FMIC, Tial (with gm maf and MAFT), HKS 272/272, full Megan Racing turbo back (repalced the old muffler and all the piping), got a wideband, 1000CC fuel injectors, Walbro 190 (I like the 16g spool up, might keep it).
Figures I found an exhaust leak in the exhaust manifold to head, thus throwing off all my tune. The stud is stripped and pending repair (new head or heli coil.. hmm :P) If it ever gets fixed, I'd LOVE to show off the idle.
you'd think with a short shifter I be better heh. Takes real practice I think, and I need to get some in at the track, racing on the streets just ain't my thing.
and the subwoofer? Meh, I don't know anything about subs :P
Nice DSM. One thing though you've got DSM Link. I've got a built auto in my DSM so I'm not too sure. But you should have a way to setup a nolift shift through Link. Play around and see if you can find it. I'm too lazy right now or I would do it myself. Not something I need to have with an Auto :) Nice GSX though man GL with your build that thing could be a monster with a lil more boost :)

I'm looking at picking up a later model 2G AWD (98 TSi/98-99 GSX) but I'm worried about the whole "CW" issue. If I was able to find a DSM (100K probably), and had it checked for spec/play at each oil change interval, would I be safe? I'd just do bolt-ons and supporting mods, all on the T-2Slow until I'd have the knowledge/financial means to either build up the 7 bolt or find a donor 1G for a six bolt.
Hey dude, you car is really nice I just got my first GSX and ive had nothing but problems even though it has alot of upgrades any idea where a reliable 6 bolt can be purchased?
there are many places to get one, and it all depends on your pocketbook. There are stroker 6 bolts available, plug and play 6 bolts, you can just get a 6bolt block from a junk yard if you can tell it was running condition and was just hit in the rear quarter panal or side impact. Just look around a bit, and expect to pay say about 3k-8k from start to finish depending on how much you do yourself.
I have no idea where you heard that, but, the last owner did not connect coolant lines to the turbo properly, the coolant drained out, and he blew the head gasket. Perfect excuse to put a brand new motor in it, built by FFtech (b4 i bought it). The engine has 23k miles on it now, and runs like brand new. Perfect start for modifying.
I have a 99 Eclipse GS and was wondering if you would recommend any good engine mods to the car. All I have so far is AEM Cam gears, Megan Racing 4-2-1 headers, AEM intake and Catback...I dont feel like dropping $6,000 for engine swap or a turbo
without a turbo or NOS, N/A eclipses are gonna top out HP wise around 200 to the wheels. I have owned 2 N/A eclipses, and unless it is your DD for you turbo GSX/T, I would never own another. Sorry I don't got more for you.

On a stock clutch, it wil not hold up to extra power and launching like that, which is why a clutch upgrade was one of my earlier mods. Launching is different depending on your set up. If you have DSMlink, you will have the ability to stutterbox or a full blown anti-lag. I have mine set at 5.5k rpm hold it there a few seconds, so the car can build some boost, than slip the clutch until it starts to grab, and then drop the clutch afterwards when it has some grip and the upgraded clutch holds it

350whp w/ 1050cc injectors...a lil over kill...gas is high now days and 1050cc (i know you can pull fuel w/ V2link) but DAMN..ur going to be pulling a lot..unless ur turbo plan is 37r or bigger...w/ that you'll be in low 10s w/ some nice DOT approved Drag Radial T/A
Was shooting for a 35r, but as it stands, I don't drive my car fast. You'll always find me in the slow lane on a freeway. I have decided to stick with the 16g and push it to it's limits and mkae 350awhp. Its been done many times, but yes, will not require 1050cc. I will probably get FIC 850cc and call it a day. (same price for 650cc/750cc/850cc)
haha..this guy. it doesn't matter if he has 1050cc injectors or a bajillion ccs. if the pump can't supply as much as the injector is maxed at then the injector just won't see 100% duty cycle. so it doesn't really matter that he has huge injectors with however much he's putting out because the pump is still going to deliver fuel at it's given parameters.

the GST was just fine, just missing the traction of AWD. It is hard to get a sense of speed from the video, and I appoligize, but those take offs are very hard and feel amazing in an awd car.

yea stickinh with the 16g til I hit my 350whp goal, than with the supporting mods I plan on getting with the 16g, swapping to a gt35R will get me to my next goal of 450-500whp.

Yes it will keep it from turning over if you dont engage the neutral safety switch ( the switch that closes when you depress the clutch pedal).

You need to work on your second gear shifts. You should be able to keep the momentum going. Nice car though, minus the subwoofer.

I'm not commuting to school this year so a super reliable DD isn't my priority. Any problems or general things going wrong? Just wondering if you could give me any advice in my quest for a DSM!

the GST was just fine, just missing the traction of AWD. It is hard to get a sense of speed from the video, and I appoligize, but those take offs are very hard and feel amazing in an awd car.

GSX works very well with a 50 trim turbo. easily 350whp with it as well. Good luck.. DSM's all TMFW!!

yea stickinh with the 16g til I hit my 350whp goal, than with the supporting mods I plan on getting with the 16g, swapping to a gt35R will get me to my next goal of 450-500whp.

Did you ever say what size turbo you have/will b using? Good luck trying to get 350whp on a t25.

fuckin silver...all the silver eclipses have the side skirts fade...your lucky it didnt get to your front/rear bumpers. plans on future mods?

Pretty cool video man! One suggestion, you should have cut the music on the parts you were driving. It was kind of hard to hear the car. Other then that, it was good! Cant wait to see the progress on your dsm man, keep up the good work!
