Awesome, another jackass with a shitty poor ass car that can't afford one with real HIDs, so you get illegal shitty blue "drop-in" ones that blind everyone else and piss off the entire driving community.
@maxwelljames1 you mean you think they are 8000k and not 30,000k right? There isnt much difference other than the blue is more distinct. I think you can get purple ones as well though...green as well, as youtube has suggested on the recommended videos on the side -->
all u guys talkin smack r dumb real talk for ur info different companies have different temp for different color like green is 36000k or 26000k depends the company so if u thing that cuz urs is purple its 30000k and some r 15000k so do ur research before u talk
Light output for any other color than the 4300k - 800k spectrums is horrible. Plus some states will pull you over and either ticket you or impound your car if you have any color other than white, or are putting too much glare out. 30000k HID's are only for offroad use and ae highly illegal to use as everyday lights. Plus the fatigue headaches you will ahve trying to see with those.
Don't get HIDs unless your car originally came with them.. clean your god damn headlights and buy piaas. All you are fucking doing is blinding people when your headlight can't even project them properly.
@shaners12345 Exactly, all these fucking morons putting HID into halogen housings are idiots. The ONLY way HID should ever go into a car is if you buy actual projectors to fit them in. That is what I have on my car; REAL BiXenon projectors with 5000K white OEM bulbs, none of this 10000K or 300000K bullshit!
yoooo xentec hids are bullshit they are cheep ass hid, i bought 15000K for only $35 and i thought i got a good deal on it but the next day one of my lights went out .......fuckin shittttttt.......
@emilturbo You get what you pay for.........also here's a lesson kids. Audis,BMW, merecedes ect all use 4300k in their cars, you see the purple because of te cutoff of the lense. 15k is fuckin pointless, anything above 8 really.
@Clipzin33 I completely agree. Except that a lot of BMW's have 5000K OEM, which is what I have in my car. It is really white, I like it much better than 4300K, it's just a pure white no yellow no blue. I think anything above 6000K is pointless, and anything below 4300K is too unless used for fog lights, and ONLY WHEN IT'S ACTUALLY FOGGY OR RAINING ETC. I hate when people have on fogs all the time for no reason. So stupid. Hell you got me ranting now lol.
@sqhschief Least you are informed and understand how HID's work. Maybe it's 5000k, but honestly, I've never heard of that temp. So many people are spewing information online nowadays. I don't even think there is such thing as 30,000k hid's, I just think the've made up shit at this point.
@Clipzin33 Haha, I know. I don't think there are 30000k's either. Yeah 5000k is a real temp., it's what was printed on my DS2 bulbs when I put them in.
yoooo xentec hids are bullshit they are cheep ass hid, i bought 15000K for only $35 and i thought i got a good deal on it but the next day one of my lights went out .......fuckin shittttttt.......
alright, im really confused now. I have an '07 Silverado and i'm about to buy some 30000K HID's but seems like everyone on here is debating that 10000K and 12000K are brighter. So which is it? I currently have 8500K but i want something alot BRIGHTER!!! Somebody respond please.
@SilverDeathSword yours are brighter than both 10,000K and 12,000K. You can go to google images and type in HID chart but 6000K is your best output meaning with that color temp, its a bright white, nd u see very clearly, as you go up to 8000-ish, they start to go into the blue-ish territory, hitting 10,000k is a blue white, 12k is a litle more blue with a tint of white, going higher to 14-15 is blue and 20k is deep blue. if you go any higher, it gets purple. higher temp, lower output.
@SilverDeathSword if you want brighter go with a lower k, like defiant said 6000k is probably your best bet. Also get a 55w hid kit instead of the standard 35w. Hope this helps
wow, those look amazing, but it looks like they don't have much light output, i want something with a deep blue/violet but that's the problem is light output vs lower color temps.
Looks terrible. Why did you put bug zappers on your car?

@stevestutz If you want the brightness go with the 55 watt kits, but, it WILL drown some of the color out, so go one shade deeper than advertised.
