Geddy and Billy are the same age none of know who started playing bass first I personally think Billy is much better than Geddy. With that said there both great bassist's.

well... not ANY decent guitarist can do that sort of thing and CERTAINLY just any decent bassist can't do this. And also it is not just a guitar solo. Firstly because it is played on a bass and was written on a bass, and secondly Sheenan uses techniques that you just can not do on a normal guitar, like slap and pop for example. He is truly talented.
