sorry i do not acknowledge christmas any more...another part of the layers of lies and deceptions...celebrating birthdays even of the master of Life is a vain tradition of men and not likely that the birth took place at this time of the year especially...Dec 25 is a sun worship date so even thoug well intentioned it is in vain and if a christ mas tree is involved it is total idolaty. You're going over the top about the trees etc, you're celebrating the birth of Jesus, aren't you? The decorations can have positive meanings in any religion (God inspires all, does he not?).

Try not to become like the Pharisees, tied up in rules and forgetting that which can only come from the heart!

No i don't think dark spirits are at the root of this holiday.

The Tree did have pagan connotations, but we commandeered it and use it as our symbol, because it is everlasting it is a symbol of the eternal life the Christ gave to us.

Also, isn't Isiah 41 about God planting trees on barren land

There's some good points there, though i still believe there is nothing wrong with celebrating Christmas in December (I do whole heartedly disagree with the commercialism however), as we celebrate Easter in spring, and celebrate the presence of God all year round in church.

As i said I don't believe in Tares, and if the anti-christ himself appears i won't be particularly bothered, I have solace in the Lord and such things don't bother me anymore.
