I remember when i was a kid, playing with rotating dial phone like that in my Grandpa house, it's really rare nowadays to find that kind a phone, most people didn't have a home phone anymore, we using smart phone or mobile phone.
This guy is apparently Coiley the Spring Sprite's long-lost brother! Not as funny though... Still, these old shorts are amusing enough without MST3K's help.

63 years later we can make a phone that can fit into a child's pocket and no wires needed to communicate! Just imagine?

Cotton for the phone cord's outer covering. That was the norm in those days.

I remember using a phone like that when I was about 6 years old! They were very heavy...maybe 6 or 7 pounds and could ring VERY loud.
