  • thanks for upload...would of been better if you had of had ocs on when doin it thou....instead of at end, so i could hear what each step was doing to the sound as i havent got massive

  • IMHO, Trance gates inhibit versatility of a tone. Its pretty much like pre loading a rhythm into the tone, where you can just naturally program that same rhythm and velocity changes into your midi.

  • man just shut the fuck up all of you with yo dumb ass comments, if anyone from the uk remebers the head sholders kness and toez grime track that made the charts & it was produced in a bedroom on a council estate in london its not about your wallet siz its about how u use what u got & if you any good with it u gonna be making a hella-lot of ££££££££

  • @stoffmiester DJ Shadow made the entire (more or less) Endtroducing album on an old Akai MPC60 and it's a classic, so yeah totally agree tbh. That said, nothing beats a real 303.

  • OMG the kick is really trancy xXDDDD

  • could you save this as a preset so we can download it . followed your video will trying to get that sound in massive in protools

  • omg, I didn't know the stepper was a trance gate. Nice nice nice

  • nIce video learned somethin new thanks

  • naaaaah

  • Why is the low pass filter moving by itself without a mouse? How is that done?

  • @Rolungo

    you can automate all

  • @wwwJoJoGocom what kind of controller you runnin? i have an akai mpk 49 check it out its dirty

  • @Rolungo Its probably midi assigned to a keyboards mod wheel.

  • good job on making a video that will help no-one.

  • is massive a good program to make trance bassline on and or the main melody? I have been using vanguard for the melody but I'm still a noob so am not sure what to use for what. I just wanna get all the programs I need so I can then set about learning each one.

  • you can make almost anything in massive.....you just need to learn how to use it

  • how do you reocmmend i learn? I was looking around for a tutorial book on t'internet but couldnt find anyhting only small tutorials. guess i will have to make dow ith them unless you have any other recs

  • Read the manual...

  • i love all the pointless hardware vs software arguements on youtube. isnt all about personal preferences? (as well as if you got the money).

I use software, maybe if i suddenly double up in talent, make a hit track, and get some cash i'll get some good hardware synths. A man can dream...

  • 100 % a tr808 for me please !

  • there's no need to argue because they work the same! A triangle OSC shape is going to be the EXACT fucking same on ANY synth on the planet - as long as the oscillacting shape is the same - which it most likely will be.

  • Its not really pointless. If you are a serious producer, you are competing against ALL the other professional producers in the industry, most of whom have the money to buy a $4000 Moog rig etc. Very few soft synths come close to emulating the sound of hardware Its not a debate, you can hear the difference. Its like, would you rather record a rock album with a Mexican Strat or a Vintage Les Paul?

ImpOSCar comes as close as Ive found to a synth that delivers authentic vintage sound.

  • @SnakesMF yeah thats how most producers start off. but alot just stick with ableton, logic 9 ,fruity loops, etc and a midi keyboard.thats all laidback uses and he has amazing house music

  • @SnakesMF i disagree

  • fuck all you hardware fans software the way to go

  • Novice.

  • not sure how people can judge a synths sound through a compressed youtube video. put it on your comp, get a really good sound card and work the eqs. it still won't beat analog hardware but massive makes some pretty awesome sounds

  • lol at Bafucin1

  • -.-

  • $6000 Jupiter synth OR $200 Arturia Jupiter 8V soft synth? The sound quality isn't worth the price difference

  • yes ? try to plug your digital out from your pc card to a realy good d/a converter (>1000.-€) and see what happens ! this hardware shit talking are rumors ! and yes, i heard them all ... junos, jupiters ...

  • @Montresor442

Implying music has a monetary value.

  • Hey plz why i cant load any new vst every time i load they give me an error and crash occur please help?

  • what host program are you using? how are you loading your VST? if it's pirated it will most likely cause the host program to crash, not to mention you will probably be missing loads of presets. Try a demo off the website and if you like it and reckon you'll use it, buy it.

  • I can make only noise on it :) But you're really good!

  • u mke it look easy lol wish u could of elaborated more/

  • nice sound but why dont u explain how to make it?!

  • just follow as he does, you learn a lot along the way

  • also not explaining how to create this exact sound will give you a better chance of experimenting with the plugin, and maybe tweak different dials than this user has to get different sounds

  • I wish there were more videos like this. It's really interesting, when you follow someone's personal techniques, what new things you learn.

  • yeah you can learn alot by watching someone else.

  • you made a nice sound there. I don't know this plugin though

  • native instruments massive vst, get one!

  • ...soon... ;-)

  • damnit, you should have an english version of your site.

  • cool
