eric is like urkel playing multiple roles 2 shows that i remember the most from my childhood and they both have a retarded character Eric Matthews and Steve Urkel and they both got more and more far fetched as the series went on although Eric underwent a much more drastic change than Urkel but when u compare the young Urkel with the older one u will see the difference but this is really evident with Eric Matthews

@delltardboy He's not necessarily retarded, he's still clever. They're just playing up his dumb side more because they've run out of storylines for Eric this season. What storylines has he had? The one with Eric/Jack/Rachel kept some sincerity to his character, but what did he do this season? I felt like they could have made the best man thing a sincere story, but they chose not to for comedic reasons. The show was ending anyway, so why bother? Eric's character got thrown away sadly.
