  • Anyway,,, I used to live in Kingswinford many years ago and remember that Rob bloke,He was a different type of person.I also used to knock about with Malcom's younger brother, dont remember his name just that he had an Atari. They all seemed like reasonable blokes, like some of their music fair play to em!

  • coltsuppyourass, why don't you get a life and stop harassing me? Was your last job with the Wonderstuff 20 years ago, and that is why you are so annoyed with me for "luring" The Bass Thing away and taking your pay check? POOR YOU. I am blocking you now, and if you pursue me, you will have a lawsuit on your ass, so I can make EVEN MORE money! MORE MUG YOU, as Rob would say!

  • yawn you still slaggin miles off yawn yawn why not emphasise how good your husband was? at the end of the day miles wrote the bulk of the lyrics n they stand the test of time as does his voice but the band was 4 vibrant talents end of

  • What year did this come out?

  • 1989 - 1990 :P

  • 1989 maybe Aug/Sept not certain

  • They were one of my favorite bands!! I was soo bummed when they broke up :-(

  • even tho theyre in concert tomorrow in london

  • with no lil'hitler Miles though, no?

  • Wanker.

  • I love the Stuffies. I saw them in 1987 before they were big, at Leeds warehouse. They were supporting the Primitives, along with The Shamen when they were psychodelic. They came on stage and announced 'We're a bunch of wankers from Birmingham'.

  • HUP!!!!

  • HUP indeed lets all HUP!!!

    Classic!!

  • love room 410 too! smiling sweetly with a lemon in your jaw......

  • that song, Room 410, was written about a fight my husband, Rob Jones had with the Little Hitler, Miles.

  • Ive read some of your other comments posted and I feel kind of priviliged that you have replied to my comment. Was miles really a little Hitler?

I always thought that he looked as though he could be abit of a prima donna!! Saying that though the made some damn fine tunes. Cartoon Boyfriend and Piece of Sky being a couple of my fave ones. Am I right in thinking Piece of sky was about The Bass Thing?

  • Little Hitler and Prima Donna...You're right. A cross between the two, but more on the Prima Donna side. Like Hitler with a prissy attitude and hemmoroids.

  • thats room 512, not room 410 dude!

  • Wheres "Room 410" ffs!

  • HUP!!!!!!!!!!

  • Now were rockin', ain't that the truth...Far Out.

  • Bass Thing is awesome...

This track is distorted but his bassline sounds wicked that way!

  • I will say thank you on his behalf. Some of his ashes are still in my closet. I was his wife.

  • Great track!Miles was a great singer then..Hup was a revelation to me at the time..

  • shame, miles is an arrogant prick.

  • I was married to Rob (the Bass Thing) and Miles was like the angry little dickless emperor. Like in the old movies with the angry eunichs? That was how he acted.

  • Indio.....

I am a stuffies fan going WAY back when they used to play the small venues before HUP sent them to the top of the charts. I am a bass player and always loved Rob's style and even tried to emulate him a bit with my playing. It was a sad sad day when he left the Stuffies, and an even sadder day when he died. I also loosely know Miles. He is nowhere near the Tyrant he used to be. It was never fun to watch him throw a fit on the stage. God bless Rob. God Bless the Stuffies.

  • Honey, I too could tell a story or two from my years working in hotels about "stars" behaving like little pricks. But it doesn´t really change anything. They are still brilliant artists that we all love and always will! Just like "The emperor".

  • I wore the HUP album slap out and I'm sure no one else in my hometown even knew who they were,

    great times.

  • I love this song, and MY GOD could Miles hunt be any bloody SEXIER in this video??? Melts my panties right off.

  • It's the grin at 5 seconds in that does it. :P

  • Ohhhh yes it is. :) And those cute fucking dimples. I'd hold his hand all day.

  • He looks like a girl!

    Great choon tho HUP!

  • Not many songs always make me smile - this is one of the rare bunch.
