@JaniWarheart yes, that sure is an example of taste. Killswitch Engage is a great example of a Metalcore band: a blend between metal and hardcore. Instrumental, it's metal, no doubt. But the vocals are typical hardcore shouts combined with a bit of metal flavor. I wouldn't call those vocals 'growls', as they are more of a harsh shout than a death metal growl. I prefer death growls too, but I like to vary.

@Sm1udntknw And that is an example of where taste comes into play. Personally, I don't think either of Killswitch's vocalist could do the heavier vocals that well. The original guy had weak growls and both guys have poor 'screams'. Of course, that is only my opinion on them.

@Wacke666 Honestly I don't think I've ever come across a metalcore band that had decent vocals. These sound like what metalcore often tries to be but fails (in my opinion) and that would be earlier melodic death metal. Even a lot of the newer melodic death bands have vocals similiar to this.

This is fucking amazing, blows every other Industrial band out of the water. Every other Industrial band rely on boring vocals and groove metal riffs, while these guys have heavier riffs that more resemble Melodic Death Metal and growls that are actually GROWLS. Plus, the clean vocals own all.
