I had the pleasure of meeting Mairead and the others 2 years ago. There are appearing again at the North Texas Irish Festival in Dallas starting tomorrow.
I am so excited. Many other great groups there. If you are close come see us this weekend.
Sadly I do not have the Irish, but I have heard this song in English before now. This is a beautiful sound. Maread sings like clear bell, and the gentle backing enhances the voice. Beautiful folks. For us uneducated in Irish language, thanks for the burst of English.
The state is spending more than 91.5million euro a year to accommodate 7000 asylum seekers, due to 7yr backlog. There are 14,131 'leave to remain' applicants whom the Justice Dept. describes as having 'unfounded' claims for asylum.

Meanwhile our health, education systems are breaking down and Irish people are being told to emigrate.....goodbye Ireland, goodbye the celts.
what a lovely programme this is, I hope they'll broadcast more of it in the US, this song being just one example of the great music we were privileged to see and hear
All Irish music is really melancholy in some ways. I guess what I mean to say is that when Irish music is sad, it's sad!
