There seem to be two sets of Lions made from the Voltron Force series. What's the difference? That one set is great looking and highly poseable but they can't combine while the the other set doesn't look as great but can combine?

Almost $400 for a two foot Voltron with gimmicky auto morphing, a key you have to stick up Voltron's arse, questionable articulation, and and this is supposed to be for collectors? I think Han Solo said it best...I've got a bad feeling about this.
