  • both thom and jonny should make a CD with neil young's covers. that would be so so so nice.

  • I met that prick yorke at a Neil young gig at hammersmith apollo couple couple years bk and he was an ignorant knob-head, WIERDO!!!

  • Unlistenable. Japanese Radiohead gigs are beautiful, on the other hand. Note to self: never see Radiohead in the US.

  • Crowd needs to learn to stay fucking hushed.

  • and i agree fuck us gigs. rude punk ass new generation.

  • @dedoc64 I agree. They lack any ability to be sensitive to the environment around them.

  • damn good

  • Rockitall excellent rendition!!!

  • Rockitall excellent rendition!!!

  • Note to self - never go to a gig in America. Dumbass Yanks.

  • Great stuff. Too bad the doofus recording kept talking. stfu dude!

  • I LOVE YOU!

  • thom yorke is the only person in the world that can sing this song

  • I was at this show... worst crowd ever.

  • "they're playing it well too"

lol ffs well of course they are its fucking thom and jonny u half tard

  • I had no idea they covered this song. I have a whole new respect for radiohead.

  • This crowd needs to shut up. Do they not realize that they're at a radiohead concert? Gosh respect the music

  • Yeah, that was perfect except the mormons in the room!

  • My back hurts looking at the guy on the left - but this is an incredible cover!!!

  • this crowd is more fit for a lynard skynard concert...dummies... im waiting for the classic drunkard to yell out.... "FREEE BIRRD!!" I would love the direct audio from the soundboard ...

  • @ingramingram69 kuz they're a bunch of retards

  • Beatiful!!!. It's unbelievable that one of my favorite singer play the song of my another favorite singer. You both is my all time favorite.

  • GODDAMN CROWD.

  • GODDAMN CROWD.

  • Wow the hollywood fans are douchebags

  • Wow, I soooo love this song and have sung it a million times. To hear it sung so sweetly is sublime...blows my mind...

  • God i love it when Thom Yorke covers Neil Young, i get the amazing music of Young grouped with Thom's beautiful voice and general ballsyness, my two favorite musicians making music babies in the least gay way possible.

  • Ummmm that was f'ing awesome.

  • That's hollywood for u i guess.... fucktards

  • What a fuckin idiots in the audience.

  • Great cover of Neil's tune.

  • STFU! We go to hear incredible performances like this one not your god damned commentary. I can't believe he said something akin to, "Oh wow they're playing that very well." Of course they are it's Radiohead. They've also covered "After The Gold Rush". Thom plays it immaculately.

  • i've been to a lot of shows and people are always the most rude at radiohead shows. i don't get it.

  • That was perfect. Except for the morons in the room who wouldn't shut up. Nothing they will say in their lifetime will be worth more than listening at that moment.

  • you stupid southern cal kids are why Radiohead hates coming here.... calm down , shut up and listen....

  • They hate coming here so much that they Scheduled FOUR shows in SoCal during their 2008 tour while NoCal only got ONE! :-P

  • Thanks. Esta canción forma parte de mi vida.

Radiohead ha mejorado el original. Me encanta. (aunque adoro a Neil Young)

  • i love these talking guys

  • these are my 2 favorite artists neil young and radiohead. Thon did great on that cover. there is nothing more beautiful than acoustic music

  • Radiohead played the hell out of this

I'm a big Neil Young fan and this rocks

  • Comment removed

  • Did that fucker really just ask "do you know what they're actually playing"?

  • It's a good song, but I can't really blame someone for not knowing it. It's not like this was a radio staple and not EVERYONE is personally versed in all of Neil Young's discography. I know I wasn't for a long time and I listen to a ton of stuff.

  • he said " I cant believe they're actually playing this"

  • @Internetscelebrity lol @ that fucker

  • buatiful...!

  • the clapping kills me every time I watch this. Its like having the clap.... chuckle

  • I was a terrace box and the people in the box were pretty much in quiet amazement during this cover. Shame so many wankers were in the pool.

  • They do a Beautiful job . I do a bunch of neil young covers too if ya want to check them out :)

  • neil young rocks. radiohead rock for covering such a favourite song of mine.

  • this song is so incredibly soothing...

  • man you're lucky...my seats were in section P, I could barely see the,

  • good cover. Neil Young has been my absolute favorite since '68 and I'm pleasantly surprised.

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP WHEN THE ARTIST IS PLAYING THEIR WORK... seriously... What conversation couldn't wait until the end of the show? Fucking dweebs.

  • teehee, dweeb

  • Neil is the best.

  • Radiohead is even more awesome for covering this. :D

  • yorke actually sounds a lot like young

  • I think he really models his voice a lot around Neil Young but being English at the same time really gives him a unique sound. His vocals on In Rainbows are very Neil at some points, but only if you're listening out for it... Brilliant cover - It beats theiir covers of On the Beach and After the Goldrush.

  • You forgot Down By the River and Cinnamon Girl. That's 5 Neil Young covers in total! Time for an Neil Young cover EP!

  • Oh...I loved the original of this song. It's a pretty good cover, too bad the audience obviously didn't appreciate it =/

  • the g harmonic rocks!

  • Ok Thom Pouter, you can sing!

  • This is beautiful.

  • Amazing cover. Probably none of the hipsters in the audience knew what it was, seeing as they talked over the entire thing. Idiots.

  • I HATED THE CROWD AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL. Newsflash: quiet songs at a Radiohead concert are not the time for you to scream "Wooo!" at the top of your lungs. They're the time when you should really, for the love of God, SHUT THE FUCK UP. Fucktards.

  • Okay, I'm sorry to get so angry but that still makes my blood boil ... nearly went faint when the band launched into this song. Love Radiohead, love Neil Young, to hear them brought together like this was heaven on earth. Only TY could sing NY with such grace and beauty. No one could do it better.

  • @musime I hate everything just about at live concerts (to the guy next to me) hey buddy, I just paid for a $155.00 ticket, not to hear you sing along nor for that matter clap along, if you want to clap along, go youtube it when I didn't pay all this damn money

  • @musime Yeah...people are really disrespectful, it's not like that everyone in the U.S., fortunately. It's California though...what can you expect?

  • @musime honeslty I always wondered who the shooshers were at Radiohead shows! Go F yourself!

  • Radiohead: best band - worst fans. No, not the fans at that concert - here on this thread. News flash - this was a rock concert not the library. Go fuck yourselfs

  • @wilstromgarcia radiohead fans are the best fans ever

  • i whoop and yell at their shows until it hurts and as loud as humanly possible... but never DURING A SONG

  • I was at this show... half the crowd wasn't paying attention... just smoking out and yelling for the band to play Creep.

  • i went two days before this one, but yeah basically the same thing. just a bunch of people blazing and talking to each other. wrong place, wrong time

  • Jez half the crowd aren't even listening, just chatting and whooping!

  • Great cover.

  • Is that one half of a Santa outfit Mr Yorke is wearing?

  • gahhh sheer brilliance, i'd swear this is Neil Young singing when he was young

  • This is really fantastic

  • this is awesome, wish he did this at lollapalooza.

  • Remember the Innocence Mission? I'd really love to hear Thom and Karen sing a duet...

  • la is the worst audience ever. just shut up and listen. they didnt deserve this.

  • Deserve what?

  • I thought the same thing. This is far from a "WWHHOOOOOO!" song/performance

  • Usually I'm hard on covers..but this is pretty impressive

  • You're hard on covers? What the hell does that mean? It is impressive though.

  • neil young is the godfather of thom yorke

    lol

  • best moment of my life was being there. or seeing the red sox win the 04 World Series.

    Thom+Jonny=BOOSH

  • awesome

  • I know Thom sang "After the Cold rush" at Neil's bridge school benefiet

  • gold*

  • moves me to tears...almost

  • why do some people talk a bunch through performances ? i hate that

  • ....wo wo wo wo!!!

i havent heard bout this, since wen did radiohead do neil young covers!???

  • for a long time

  • "It was in LA and you have to assume there aren't too many fans there"

umm that's where some of the realest radiohead fans in the world are. you're dumb. i saw them twice in hollywood, in chula vista and SB while they were here.

    dork.

  • not really man, i was at that concert and there were people who didn't even know they were from England

  • Thats just you, you could be an exception.

  • Compared to a show in Auburn or Chula Vista, the Hollywood Bowl draws some very lame fans. People who know creep and some of In Rainbows (and dont know about Disc Two). Don't take things too seriously man, but I agree with this generalization

  • haha that guy.

    "I LOVE YOU!!!!!"

that made my day, seriously, to whoever said that

    Thank you. XD

  • Haha, you're welcome. This is my friends video and I didn't know he was recording it until after I said "I really hope somebody's recording this right now."

  • u can never get enough of Neil

  • omg omg yessss!

  • I watch this video on a daily basis zak.

    So glad you caught this.

  • Yeah, cause 'real' fans can't comment, clap or talk...:/

  • nice to see thom got the lyrics right and was able to actually do the song, unlike in seattle, ha. beautiful.

  • GENIAL !!!

  • I agree all people who thinks that Radiohead is the greatest band today. They create the music that is surviving for all of us.They don't play for for advertising and fascinating people. That's what most bands do today. But Radiohead is the band who works on real music and that's why I'm their fan.

  • thanks so much for the clip!

  • I was at this concert as an usher. I watched the show from Prom 1. These guys were awesome!

  • I was there that night and I was freaking when he sang this song! Best concert I've ever been to. I had chills the whole time they performed. Best band ever!

  • thell me why you are a creep

    nice cover!

  • I was at both Hollywood Bowl shows, and I'd have to say the 2nd night was better, partly because of this song. I love it when bands do something unexpected. BTW how did you get such close seats? I sat in section S on Sunday and I couldn't even see them most of the time.

  • We actually snuck into the POOL section.

  • you weasely bastard, i commend you! thanks for this awesome video

  • The concert was surreal. I can hardly believe I was there to this day.

  • that was such an amazing concert!

  • wish i was there

  • Greatest band alive right now.

  • That rocked... I can't believe that Neil play's that by himself!

  • Neil stopped singing for a long time (late-70s until the mid 90s, I think) because he felt that the lyrics made no sense! It's a good song, though. I never thought I'd see Radiohead perform it! Good version.

  • neat fact. funny, I find these lyrics incredibly meaningful. funny how art works that way.

  • He doesn't sing it because he thinks it's bullshit now lol. And as far as I know he hasn't sung it since the early 70s. I really wish he would, even if he does think his own lyrics are innane...there's one hell of a melody to Tell Me Why and it's a tune that deserves to be continue to be played.

  • Thanks for posting this!

memories from that concert are flowing back.

  • Radiohead are getting better .Neil Young Covers are not for the faint hearted

    regards

    jimmy

  • That was too beautiful for me to explain in words....a dream-like combination....

Thankyou so much for posting this!

  • definitely the highlight of the show for me.

  • Quality!

  • Thanks for this! Great song and up close! Mine's a bit farther away, but less clapping and talking. Check it out

  • wow my favourite band covering my favourite band. what more do you want?

    wish i was there

  • I WAS THERE!!!!!! it was soo amazing.

  • it came about half way. after faust arp and before no surprises.

  • It was a great show man, I was there. I love radiohead man. Too bad there are people who have no clue about them. I saw people not clapping or dancing. HOw ridiculous. Those people have no clue about radiohead. This band is the best and its the beatle of our generation. Radiohead rules!!!!

  • Nice close vid!

I was mid-way up and this song sounded crystal clear. they sounded so good last night!!

  • best cover iv heard of this amazing song

  • glorious moment.

  • Radiohead and Neil Young are amazing

  • Just to clarify I am not the one talking. It was all the snobby people who paid 1000+ dollars to sit in the POOL section in Hollywood that didnt care about the show.

  • Just to clarify I am not the one talking. It was all the snobby people who paid 1000+ dollars to sit in the POOL section in Hollywood that didnt care about the show.

  • To pennytee, we were all friends it was no big deal. People don't need to complain so much.

  • what about all the people around you who had to hear you? don't know about you but i go to a concert to hear the music, not people's conversations.

  • you think I was holding the camera up and talking at the same time. I was barely breathing as to not disturb the audio quality

  • They do need two guitarists to play Neil's part!Sounds great

  • great quality

  • i was there!

  • radiohead can cover any song. neil would be so proud

  • Thank you so much for posting. Such a pretty song and the way Thom sings it makes it even sweeter.

  • best concert ever

  • It was really epic. Love my 1st Radiohead show.
