Great Performance, have that album for more than 15 years. It's my favourite Vinnie Solo, so complex and still clear in its structure.

@larspedal if you put a little attention you can tell Jeff's touch in 2 and 4 only, Vinnie makes the 1 and 3 alone, I'm a fan of both and have a good way of playing the drums. greetings

Though, Jeff appers in al the songs, except dismemberment, Vinnie appears in Dismemberment, smell yourself and all blues, which this part of this video is of all blues, the last song in the record.

This is The Lobotomys first live recording,,, the three dummers are Jeff Porcaro, Carlos Vega and Vinnie Colaiuta,,,,,, the drummer in all tracks is Jeff and some of the other tracks are two drummers at the same time , in this case, Jeff is suporting the groove and Vinnie is soloing. Great record with a lot of great other musicians, Joe Sample, Steve Lukather, David Garfield, John Peña, Lenny Castro etc.

Try to find and listen to this record, it´s a truly jewell.

@porchari , They both support one another, so not only is vinnie soloing, but also jeff makes a solo and vinnie support it, the groovy solos are of Jeff. I have this cd complete, it is fantastic, Carlos Vega appears in Oozer, Vinnie appears alone in Dismemberment, and in all the rest, Vinnie Reappears in Smell Yourself along with Jeff, but this is a true excellent cd, it's like a diamond to a drummer in a very low cost. Hola amigo,,, pues no, Jeff no hace solo en este tema ni los hizo jamás en ningún sitio, odiaba solos, aquí simplemente sostiene el groove constante en todo el tema, diferenciadose bien el sonido de la bateria de Vinnie y la de Jeff. Vinnie hace solos con su toque maestro caracteristico, y Jeff o bien sigue con el ritmo o bien para de tocar hasta que comienza el groove de nuevo.

Me alegro que sepas tambien tanto de Jeff, un autentico monstruo de la bateria, y quizas nunca se iguale

Si tienes toda la razon, vinnie es el que solea, se escucha claramente la diferencia del sonido de las tarolas, la de vinnie siempre se escucha igual.

@porchari Hola , Jeff no hace un solo hace dos , si pones un poco de atencion podras comprobar su tecnica de bombo insuperable y su forma de tocar que es muy diferente a los solos de Vinnie , te doy la razon que Jeff no le gustaba vacilar sobre sus virtudes , pero eso no quita que en este directo con los Lobotomys hiciera una excepcion. soy un fan de Jeff y llevo tocando 22 años la bateria y te confirmo que el 2 y 4 solo es jeff Porcaro. un saludo Raúl

@hazcarate Hola amigo, tambien llevo 25 años tocando,aunque eso no importe ahora, tengo el 80% de la discografía de Jeff y he estudiado muchisimo sobre él. Los solos son todos integramente de Vinnie,su movimiento es inconfundible, aunque cómo bien dices, la técnica de bombo de Jeff es insuperable.El único solo de Jeff documentado y grabado es en el año 1974 con Sonny and Cher en Las Vegas, te lo puedo pasar para que lo oigas. Jeff es mi baterista preferido con muchisima diferencia
