  • rich thomas looked so funny back then!!! haha

  • Does anyone remember Bob Ingram, who would talk about the Alabama legislature?

  • Im sorry I have to say this. WSFA has always been on the forefront. In 1985 their set and graphics were "major market" and not "cheap" especially for a "small market".

WSFA has grown with the times. They were on top of it in 1985 and they are on top of it today. There is a reason why they are the leading station in Alabama and one of the best in the South.

  • Do you have a WSFA newscast from when they unveiled the major-market set and graphics?

  • Bob Howell actually was the one who fell for a short stint. Rich Thomas always did the weather.

  • WOW! WSFA looks really cheap, but it has come a long way. That music theme been there throughout the late 90s. Mark Thornhill who now anchors the news at WAFF-TV 48 NBC-Huntsville, which is owned by Raycom which ownes WSFA too!

  • WSFA does not look cheap. It was 1985. Their graphics were fresh for 1985, the music fresh for 1985.

They have come a long way because they kept with the times...its 24 years later! Everything has come a long way from 1985 and WSFA stayed up to date (on the air) even though they are STILL in their original studio building.

  • After Mark Thornhill left, they got Jeff Shearer to replace him.
