ill go on record right now that team canada 2002 salt lake city was the best hockey team ever assembled,. yes im aware of the 1972 team, and the 1987 Canada Cup team....im totally aware....but come on. Mario, Stevie Y, Kariya, Sakic, Fleury, Lindros, Iginla.....the list is endless. Ill never forget this day for as long as i live. never. hockey is life. hockey is canada. canada is hockey.

I understand you completely. I had a hard time myself from the moment I heard he was going to announce his retirement and even after the tribute weekend. It is a tremendous loss to the NHL. And don't feel bad to be emotional, because Joe deserves people to feel this way after all he did. He leaves behind a huge gap but a LOT of great memories
