When I did that video I had the outputs of the xt live running into a firewire audio interface.
Basically there was no latency as I was using the firewire interface to directly monitor the xt live's output.
The actual video though was way out of synch with the audio but that was easy to fix in imovie by just extracting the audio from the movie track and nudging it forward until it lined up with the video.
I also ditched logic for pro tools a long time ago.

I just used a backing track I had and added the lead guitar.
If you know Line 6 the backing track is from their online tracks that you get access to when you join Guitarport online.

i have an imac and pod xt live ,but how did you connect a firewire cable i think its only usb 2.
did you have any latency problems with logic8??
