Sigourney Weaver comes back to earth after fighting aliens in space to fighting her Gay son, she's AWESOME and very scary in this role!! An EXCELLENT film that should be a MUST SEE in every school!!

Can't watch this film because he's worried about his religious family. Religion is worse than being gay. Gay is real and religion is some bigoted weird fantasy for people wih reality issues. That may sound harsh and deal with people with faiths every day, but I find it strange that they feel they can judge when even their bible tells them to love the sinner not the sin. And in no way do I believe it's a sin.It's one world with lots of amazing people. Embrace that. Not hate.
The first time I saw this movie it had me in tears. I had to buy the book that detailed the entire story and I was horrified. A lot of the nasty, terrible details are actually left out of the movie. If you want to find out what Bobby really went through I suggest reading the book. It helped me accept myself and who I am more than anything else in my life.

Believe it or not "Kiddo" Bobby Griffiths' old lover "Blaine" here felt the same way, I actually made myself sit through it for the first time about six months ago! Though I cried in parts that caused memories of Bobby to flood back, overall it wasn't as painful as I had imagined it would have been! Would you believe it that in preparation to watch the movie, I actually lined up a group of friends ready and willing while watching it with me ,to hold my hand!

I always knew that i was different then at 13 I knew why. It's been almost 7 years and that thought of coming out scares the hell of me. It breaks my heart when I have to live a fake lifestyle to appease others. I feel as if I'm living a double lifestyle. If your gay and your at a young age and have a good support system/loving family then you should come out...it gets harder to do so as you get older.

Can't watch this film because he's worried about his religious family. Religion is worse than being gay. Gay is real and religion is some bigoted weird fantasy for people wih reality issues. That may sound harsh and deal with people with faiths every day, but I find it strange that they feel they can judge when even their bible tells them to love the sinner not the sin. And in no way do I believe it's a sin.It's one world with lots of amazing people. Embrace that. Not hate.

The first time I saw this movie it had me in tears. I had to buy the book that detailed the entire story and I was horrified. A lot of the nasty, terrible details are actually left out of the movie. If you want to find out what Bobby really went through I suggest reading the book. It helped me accept myself and who I am more than anything else in my life.

I saw this movie and it almost made me cry. To think that some kids parents actually feel this way about their children. They tell them that it's wrong, and that they are not apart of the family anymore because they are gay. It infuriates me.

One of my favs... deeply touching with outstanding performances from Ryan Kelley (Bobby) and Sigourney Weaver (Mary).
